Pounds for Life
I would love to help you reach your health and fitness goals without ever stepping one foot into a g
Rocking my baby for nap time for the last time as a one year old. Man...this is emotional!!
My heart 💙💙💙. All three of these boys make my life completely full of laughter, life, and love. So blessed to be his wife and their mama.
I'm NOT a fan of 97 degree weather in October but I got out for some sprints with one of my little men. I will be 34 on Friday and I admit....there are days I feel like I'm 84. But this is the season for thankfulness and I'm so thankful my Father in Heaven has given me an amazing husband and two little men to love. So even though I haven't run in a while, there's a runner in there determined to run a race on Saturday. There's still a lot of fight left in me!! Don't let life get you down, get up and fight for yourself and remember how truly blessed you are!!
My Ranger fans!! Love them!! ❤️❤️
I don't always go full out. Why? Because I can't. All the health professionals I have recently seen have told me that to preserve my back and to continue to get to work out, I must modify things that require lots of pounding. In this video, you see me doing the modified version of half tuck jumps. Thankful for a modifier to show me what to do and thankful that I can listen to my body, tweak some things, and still get a great workout! Don't let small hiccups stand in your way of getting a good workout!
Multi-tasking mama did her workout OUTSIDE today. Why? Because I promised a certain boy he could play with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. So I brought a huge fan out and luckily I have Beachbody On Demand so I knocked out Speed 1.0 while he was playing. Notice who joined is halfway through? These ear infections are killing the chunker!! Mamas, do you have good natural ways to remedy ear infections? Let's hear them!
What do you do when it's the hottest TX summer day? You pretend it's winter and have a snowball fight of course! 😝❄️☀️
I was going to add music to this video, but if you listen you will hear why I didn't at the end. Poor little man has had it ROUGH for the past few days and refuses to sleep longer than 20-30 min. Thank goodness JD had our Beachbody on Demand pulled up and we did T25 Speed 1.0 really fast!! This was from yesterday. We are going to have to be creative to get it in today, but we will! Get your workout in too or if it's your rest day, be sure to watch your diet and do some sort of stretch today. Have a great Sunday!
Not much multi-tasking going on today as my little chunk just can't seem to kick this cough he's had. Snuggles and doctor for us!
Multi-tasking mama. So glad for a 25 min workout since no one wanted to sleep in OR take a morning nap. Rhett counted blocks and Rhody played in the play yard. This was my first time to do an actual workout in about 6 months since my back started hurting again. I have been running some but I thought I would test the waters. Since I'm anxiously awaiting Cize in the mail, I thought I would go back to T25 to get my Shaun T fix. What's your workout today??
Haha! This is what happens when you wake up at 6:20 to nurse and refuse to go back to sleep! Mama is definitely getting some work done though....oh and don't worry, I took him to his crib. Happy Monday everyone!
Multi-tasking mama had a great morning! While Rhody slept, I started laundry, and Rhett did some learning! Have a cookie sheet? You can do some really fun activities. Today Rhett practiced matching letters of the alphabet. For his number activity, he sharpened his fine motor skills by picking up small poms with tweezers and matching them to the number in the bowls. He loved it! For the mama? An easy 3 miles with a warm up and cool down followed by core and back stretches. Mamas, what have you done with your little ones today? What have you done for yourself?
Here's today's multi-tasking mama video brought to you by both boys and mama! Try these moves while you're playing with the kids or while watching your favorite show. Simple, yet effective.
Now this is what I call multi-tasking! Running some sprints with body strength moves in between while working on numbers. Woohoo!! Are you getting your workout in today? If not, what's holding you back? If you plan ahead, you can make it work!
Oh you know, just a Saturday afternoon dance party. Love that Rhett wants to dance with me all the time!
So loving that my hubby and I share a love for fitness and being active. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary by going on a hike for the first time together. I love this man and can't wait for the next 7 and many more after!! What is your favorite anniversary memory?
Happy graduation Karrington!! We U! Gig 'Em!!
Quite possibly the cutest picture ever. But I'm a little biased. He loves some blueberries!!!
Morning snuggles with this cutie is the perfect way to start a day!!
It's so Rhody and I are starting off the day with 3 miles on the treadmill this morning! How are you celebrating? Even if you can't run, walk! Get moving!!
MUCH easier said than done. Just remember (and I'm talking to myself) God made you beautiful. Focus on the good in your life and always strive to be the best version of you!
This song is on my heart this morning. My heart is burdened but I find peace in knowing that His presence is all around.
Can you imagine how much better the world would be if we actually did this?
Happy 8 months to our precious little man!! His smile totally makes my day every day!
Going through my 700 pictures on my phone this morning and found this gem from a few weeks ago. I LOVE that Rhett gets so excited about doing "races." He walked almost the whole mile and then passed out while JD and I walked the 5k. Even though we can't run right now, we are making the best of it and still putting one foot in front of the other! Make sure you do the same today!!
Running errands with my boys today! One is teething and stuffy, the other is potty training! We have to go get our ingredients for my newest Pinterest try...spaghetti squash lasagna!! Bring it!
What do you do when you really want to participate in a 5k but you've had a sick one and no one in the house really wants to get up to go with you? You go to the den, get on the treadmill, and go for it! Rhett was nice enough to give me my medal for finishing. He was pretty bummed we didn't go to mama's "race."
Happy 7 months to our precious "little" man. He weighs close to 20 pounds, sits up by himself, rolls around and tries to crawl, has 2 teeth, and LOVES to smile! His favorite person is his big brother!! We are so blessed to have him!
Want to focus on your core? Try getting your balance on a BOSU ball! You can do one legged squats, planks, push ups, side planks, and even yoga moves. You don't even want to know how many times it took me to get that tree pose in a pic! So do you have one laying around the house??
Rhody says,"Happy Friday!"
