Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, has finally
opened up about the conversation he had
with Neymar in the players’ tunnel, before
their pre-season clash against Barcelona.
Pogba sent United fans into a frenzy last
month, as he chatted closely with Neymar,
who at the time was linked with a move
away from Spain.
Having helped in the recruitment of close
friend Romelu Lukaku from Everton,
speculations began to spread that the
Brazilian was coming to Old Trafford.

Barcelona want to blow the world-record
£198million they got for Neymar on Hazard
and Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho.
Blues boss Conte admitted: “You know well
that I have great consideration for Hazard
because he is a really top player. But I repeat
I’m the coach and can give my opinion – but
the final decision is always the club’s.”
Conte has already laid the blame at the door
of the club’s hierarchy for selling Nemanja
Matic to Manchester United.

According to reports from England this
morning, Liverpool have sold Philippe
Coutinho to Barcelona for €100 million. The
Metro is reporting the player could be
unveiled in Barcelona in the next 48 hours.
Coutinho was left out of Liverpool’s friendly
squad in Saturday’s match against Athletic
Bilbao, adding fuel to the fire of his
impending sale to Barcelona. On Sunday,
beIN Sports broke the news that Coutinho’s
agent had told Liverpool he wanted to leave
the club to join Barcelona; and the Reds had
agreed to the deal.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic recovering from a
knee injury and out of contract, Jose
Mourinho has turned to Romelu Lukaku to
spearhead his attack next season, but how
good is the Portuguese manager’s track
record when it comes to signing No.9’s?
During a 17-year management career,
Mourinho has taken charge of some
Europe’s biggest and most prestigious clubs
including Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid and the
Red Devils.
At each club, Mourinho has moulded the
first-team squad in his image, making major
signings across the pitch in an attempt to
build a team that is capable of carrying out
his instructions.
Amongst his plethora of acquisitions are a
number of strikers, some of whom who
were signed for big transfer fees and others
for somewhat more modest sums.
Here Squawka has ranked all of Mourinho’s
striker signings based on their goal per
game ratio while playing for the Portuguese
tactician.

appearance have been included.

After weeks of “imminent” medicals, today
is the day that Tiemoue Bakayoko really will
undergo a health check at Chelsea.
The Monaco midfielder has been tracked by
Chelsea for many months now after
impressing Antonio Conte.
Bakayoko was a key part of the Monaco side
that won Ligue 1 and reached the
Champions League semi-finals in season
2017/2018.
On Thursday, Chelsea agreed a fee with
Monaco for Bakayoko.
The French defensive midfielder has been
linked with Manchester United in this
transfer window, but it looks like Chelsea
have won the race.
It’s also worth noting that Bakayoko has a
knee injury, France Football have suggested
it could keep the midfielder out of action for
the next couple of months, and that’s a
possible reason to explain why the player’s
transfer has taken some time.
Chelsea have been a little slow in the
transfer market this summer. So far the club
has recruited W***y Caballero from Man City
and Antonio Rudiger from Roma.
Chelsea fans should prepare themselves for
one of the strongest central midfields in
Europe when Bakayoko joins up with N’Golo
Kante.
It now seems likely that Nemanja Matic will
leave, once Bakayoko is unveiled as a
Chelsea player.
There have been suggestions that Chelsea
would not sell Matic to United after Jose
Mourinho hijacked the Blues move for
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.
This now seems likely with the Blues in
negotiations with Inter Milan to sell them
Matic.
Over the last day or so, Bakayoko has been
posting on Instagram Stories and Twitter
about his arrival in London.
The defensive midfielder has also been
involved in a chat with Chelsea striker Michy
Batshuayi.
And, has posted a picture which includes a
Chelsea shirt, just in case you didn’t think
the transfer was happening…
