San Miguel National High School Gears Up for Brigada Eskwela 2024: “Bayanihan para sa MATATAG na Paaralan”

San Miguel National High School (SMNHS) is excited to announce its participation in Brigada Eskwela 2024, set to take place from July 22 to 27. This year’s theme, “Bayanihan para sa MATATAG na Paaralan,” emphasizes the spirit of community cooperation and resilience in creating a strong and supportive learning environment.

What is Brigada Eskwela? Brigada Eskwela, also known as the National Schools Maintenance Week, is an annual initiative by the Department of Education (DepEd) that brings together teachers, parents, students, and community members to prepare schools for the upcoming academic year. The goal is to ensure that schools are clean, safe, and conducive to learning.

Our Commitment to Excellence At SMNHS, we believe that a well-maintained school environment is crucial for the holistic development of our students. Brigada Eskwela provides an excellent opportunity for us to work hand-in-hand with our community to achieve this goal.

In line with the MATATAG: Bansang Makabata, Batang Makabansa agenda, the Department of Education (DepEd) adopts the Implementation of the National Learning Camp (NIC).

The implementation of the NLC is a strategic initiative supporting the National Learning Recovery Program (NLP) and is complemented by programs to improve skills in reading, mathematics, science, and technology, and similar initiatives which aim to sustain learning recovery.

The NLC serves a two-fold objective: to improve learner outcomes and to strengthen teacher competence so they can teach better. This initiative places utmost importance on fostering learner well-being and engagement, promoting inclusive education, and cultivating a positive learning environment where teachers excel and learners flourish.

Great news, everyone! The Barkada Kontra Droga of San Miguel National High School just had a successful orientation for the Battle Against Drugs program, entitled "KONTRA DROGA BIDA (BUHAY INGATAN DROGA'Y AYAWAN)" in partnership with the DILG Region X and PNP Maramag.

The program aimed to raise awareness and promote the importance of saying no to drugs. The event was attended by students, teachers, parents, and representatives from the DILG Region X and PNP Maramag, who shared their expertise and insights on the dangers of drugs and its effects on individuals and society.

We are proud of our school and grateful for our partners for spearheading this initiative. Let us continue to support our school and work together in creating a safe and drug-free community for everyone.

San Miguel National High School joins in the observance of the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Children. Today November 25, 2022 is the start of the campaign for the elimination of VAWC.

The school was very grateful for the presence of the SAVE THE CHILDREN ORGANIZATION who conducted a symposium for the young student leaders of San Miguel National High School.

San Miguel National High School Division Validation on BKD ( Barkada Kontra Droga Program)

San Miguel National High School is really honored for being recognized as one of the finalists for the Gawad Siklab: Best BKD implementing school in the Division of Bukidnon. The program aims to promote awareness on drug abuse and its related issues and provide the right intervention to address the problems encountered by our youth.
The Division validators represented by Sir Ronnie Jun Estiva- PDO, YOUTH FORMATION and Joylivenge Lavador- ESP-II have conducted BKD validation at San Miguel National High School today.
The school is more privileged with the strong support from the stakeholders and partners to heighten the advocacies of BKD Program through the presence of PNP uniformed personnel Pssg. John Griffin Olivares,
Jericho Peñas- KKDAT Provincial President,
Susana Cuizon- BADAC Focal Person and of course, the ever supportive and active Barangay councilor Sedney Galicha as the SGC President. The school is loud and proud for the success of BKD program implementation headed by the ever competitive school head Dr. Charlyn Navarrosa Sabares, together with the BKD coordinator Ms. Roxette Uayan Layosa and BKD co-coordinator Sir Sunny Jay Sabuero.
The school also extends its gratitude to the presence of Maramag III Public Schools District Supervisor Maam Gladys Lucernas , for her untiring support to every endeavor and for being one of the proudest people for every success and achievement of SMNHS.

San Miguel National High School extends gratitude to the Division of Bukidnon for the opportune visit of Sir Ron Estiva, our Division Youth Formation Officer together with Ma’am Gladys Lucernas, Public Schools District Supervisor of Maramag III.
Thank you so much Sir Ron for a very substantial technical assistance you have provided to our newly elected SSG Officers for the SY 20222-2023. Rest assured that our active and committed SSG Officers are inspired to work together and manifest as prodigies on their advocacy towards the entire success of the school.
