Cvlstreetwear was founded in September 2018 by me, a student and animal rights activist. I was born in 1997 and grew up in the rural part of Austria. In September 2012 I became direct, in April 2013 I became vegan at the age of 16, much to my parents' concern. There were already one or two ways to defend the animals, e.g. at family celebrations that usually only ended in disaster. It wasn't until August 2018, when I was already living in Vienna, that I joined an organization and started doing street activism regularly. I started visiting cubes and taking part in marches.
I started questioning the traditional structures in which we were born. Especially with veganism, I don't understand how you can continue to do something like this to the animals under the name of tradition. It just doesn't make sense to consume products of animal origin. And that's why I set myself the task of getting people out of their old habits. But to veganize the world as quickly as possible and to destroy these old values and norms in our society, I need people who are on the same mission. With cvlstreetwear, I want to give them something that activism shouldn't miss. The right clothes. Naturally, fairly produced in organic quality at an affordable price.
I can still remember setting up my homepage and uploading my designs for the first time. It was so exciting and I kept thinking to myself: "It has to be perfect now because my customers can see it immediately." I have never had any professional training in what I now do for cvlstreetwear and cvlfreshness, which I summarize under cvlbusiness. I still try to improve myself every day and become a better version of myself.
