At , we use self-powered treadmills instead of motorized ones because they allow you to run at your own pace. The curved form helps support your feet and natural body curvature! Can’t wait til we’re back in inversion so we can give these treads a go - though maybe it’s the one thing you’re NOT missing on quarantine? 😆

This girl - an incredible athlete we all call Coral (short for Coralia). Holding down the 5:15am crew, you’ll always see Coral with a smile on her face. When we saw her shirt today, we knew this had to make it to the gram 🤣 and yes, we know how ridiculous it is to call it “the gram”, but listen - just love us for who we are, would ya? 😜
It’s athletes like Coral that make what it is - a place to get a killer workout and have a little (a lot of?) fun, too. 😘

I think it was Brene Brown who told a story about a village where all the women washed clothes together down by the river. When they all got washing machines, there was a sudden outbreak of depression and no one could figure out why.
It wasn't the washing machines in and of themselves. It was the absence of time spent doing things together. It was the absence of community.
Friends, we’ve gotten so independent.
We’re “fine” we tell ourselves even when in reality we’re depressed, we’re overwhelmed, we’re lonely, and we’re hurting. “We’re fine, we’re just too busy right now” we say when days, weeks, months, and years go by without connecting with friends. I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine. It’s so easy to say even when it’s not true.
We’ve become so isolated and it’s hard to know how to get back. It’s so hard to know how to even begin to build the kind of relationships our hearts need. And I think In our current culture, it’s just not as organic as it once was. It's more work now.
Because you know, we have our own washing machines. We don't depend on each other to do laundry, or cook dinner, or raise babies anymore. We don't really depend on each other for much of anything if we're being honest.
In Brene Brown’s book Braving the Wilderness, she says that being lonely effects the length of our life expectancy similar to smoking 15 ci******es a day. I don’t say that to freak anyone out, but to let you know that the longing for connection is LEGIT. I think we’ve treated friendship like a luxury for far too long; friendship isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.
We don't want it. We kind of need it.
Be independent. Be proud of it. But be an independent woman who realizes the value and the importance of opening the door to other good women.
You can do it alone, but you don't have to. Islands are only fun for so long.
There is true magic when women come together and hold hands and share ideas and share stories and struggles and endless bowls of salsa. You use your gifts, and I'll use mine, and then we'll invite that girl over there who brings a completely different set of skills to the table we are building, and we'll watch together as something miraculous unfolds.~~

Please know that it's possible to have a desire to change your body and still be loving and tolerant towards your current body and fitness levels. You don't have to hate yourself to want things to be different. Imagine if we resented, hated and treated other things in our life poorly just because it isn’t exactly as we want it to be. For example, I live in a gorgeous apartment and I **love** it. But loving the apartment doesn't stop me from having the goal of owning a house one day. I can be happy and love my cute little apartment right now, but also have a goal to move into a place that I own. OR if my man is pushing my buttons, and annoying me, it doesn’t mean I don’t love him. I don’t have to love everything he does to treat him with respect and kindness. Make sense?
𝗪𝐇𝐀𝐓’𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐆? 🎒
So we originally found this in our box last quarter, and we TOTALLY OBSESS over it. This one stays with almost all the time… if her cute twin girls don’t steal it from her first! A few different ways to use this one:
1. First thing in the morning - Laura will use this to help wake up when that 5am alarm clock goes off. She’s not much of a morning person (but she’s changing that!), so a few quick sprays of this sure helps get her going!
2. Since it’s usually in her gym bag - pre- and post-class is the PERFECT time to give yourself a little refresher spray! If you haven’t tried this spray - or something similar - yet, girl… just 👏🏻 go 👏🏻 do 👏🏻 it. You can thank us later. 😘💗

Wow wow wow are we hard on ourselves. As people and definitely as women. But girl - we have GOT to tell you - that you are an incredible human. Like, beyond amazing. Beyond powerful. And everything you want is already inside of you, it’s just time to 𝐔𝐍𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐇 the beast.
But here’s the problem - you can’t release your 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅 until you recognize whats holding you back. Until you face your challenges head-freaking-on. So today - look your struggle in the eye and say:

This week’s challenge is UPPER BODY! As women, we have a LOT of different needs when it comes to upper body. Some have terrible posture [yep, raising my hand over here] due to under-developed back muscles and a chest that could spare to give some away. Some have spent years in fear of “getting big” and have shied away from upper body movements. Whatever the reason - it’s an absolute MUST to get those bi’s, tri’s, delts, lats, and everything else into gear!
This week’s 𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐘 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄… Keeping it simple! Every day do as many push-ups as you can in ⏱ 2 MINUTES ⏱!

Don’t judge us for going through and stalking her Insta to find the perfect picture, but we HAD to include an Oregon hat in this pic. This hardcore Ducks fan (and alum - like our owner !) just got back from College Gameday where she had MULTIPLE signs that she made shown on TV! Okay - enough geeking out - let’s get to the goods.
When Annie started at Pink Iron at the start of 2018, she set a goal for herself to reach 𝟷𝟶𝟶 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 before the end of the year. It was close - but this girl 👏🏻 FREAK 👏🏻 ING 👏🏻 DID 👏🏻 IT 👏🏻 ! Nothing makes us happier than when our athletes set a goal and do everything in their power to reach them. She’s an amazing career woman rocking out the Ops team over at . She hates when there’s Mountain Climbers in the workout, so we now call them the “𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭.”
