Ash & Fowler are still looking for their furever homes!

Please consider adopting (they do no need to be adopted together) or fostering-to-adopt! The will run out of time this week in their current foster home, and we have no where to move them. Without adoption or available foster homes, we can't bring in and save more Labs.
Both boys are great dogs, doing well in foster care, and deserve to find their furever families.

Las Vegas Labrador Rescue is in such need of volunteer foster home! We are declining Labs in need more frequently, as we have no available foster homes for the Labs. We are in desperate need of volunteer foster homes!

Fostering is the single most important need LVLR has. We can only save Labs when we have volunteer foster homes, willing to love and care for a Lab until adoption. We provide all of the supplies, food, medical treatment and guidance you need; you provide a safe, loving and secure environment for the Lab until adoption. On average, most Labs need a foster home for about 3 weeks.
Our greatest bottleneck in bringing in new Labs for adoption is lack of available foster homes.

LVLR would like you all to meet Duke. While Duke isn't quite ready for adoption yet, we wanted to share some of the 'behind the scenes' work that goes on, even when it looks quiet.
Duke is 8 years old, and has Addison's disease. Simply, his adrenal glands don't produce the hormones his body needs. All Duke needs to stay healthy is medication administered on a routine basis.
While he's been in our care, we have been working on finding the proper balance and timing of his treatments, and we're getting close to keeping his bloodwork stabilized. It's a lengthy, expensive process, with multiple trips back and forth to our veterinarian, checking his levels every 2 weeks. We have every confidence that soon we'll have the full picture of what Duke needs going forward, and he'll be ready to find his furever family!
Duke is such a happy, bouncy boy, and has settled right in with his foster family. He's loving, playful, and an overall well-mannered gentledog. He will make an amazing family member for the right family when he is ready!
We wanted to share his story, and really give thanks to his foster family for committing their time to care for him until he's ready for adoption. We have asked more than normal of a foster home, and they have gone out of their way to treat him as their own, and keep up on his care with our vet until we have all the right information.
Cases like Duke's are always difficult on a rescue, we are so happy we can help the handsome fella have a great life going forward.
