A very important initiative and training session provided by Mansfield District Council.

Been to a really important training session tonight with the council based on domestic violence and safeguarding. Hard hitting and eye opening the level of abuse that occurs and the number of survivors out there.

It was really disappointing that only the Labour members attended and no Conservatives, MI or independent members were present, given the importance of this subject and that 1 in 3 experience this within their lifetimes.

If anyone wants to talk about anything related to this I am willing to listen or signpost you to someone equipped to support your choices to move forward.

This is an important milestone in our desire to breathe life back into the town centre. Just one of our multiple regeneration schemes.

Out today in Eakring ward getting general election ready for Steve Yemm for Mansfield

As some of you will have already seen in letters this morning the GP practice in Warsop, Riverbank, will no longer operate from 1 July 23. It is unclear if other services (nurse etc) will remain.
I am both shocked and appalled that this is happening. The practice has 4500 patients who will need services elsewhere. The stonebridge development is likely to include an additional 800-1000 residents to the area that will put further strain on services.

As I mentioned on another thread I emailed the MP, Ben Bradley, about this, and the response I received was the generic press release that had already been issued to myself from the practice. There has also not been any mention from our County Councillor, Bethen Eddy. I am not sure why Ben has not been leading on this considering the impact on his constituents. Il let you make your own mind up about that.

It is a disgrace a new GP has not been secured for the practice and it is clear Warsop is being let down again.

Executive Mayor Andy Abrahams has announced his new cabinet and set out his vision for the next four years after being re-elected.

The seven-strong cabinet includes both old faces and new ones, selected to help steer the work of the council.

The new cabinet is as follows:
- Cllr Stuart Richardson - Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Growth
- Cllr Craig Whitby - Deputy Mayor and Portfolio Holder for Corporate and Finance
- Cllr Andrew Burgin - Portfolio Holder for the Environment and Leisure
- Cllr Anne Callaghan - Portfolio Holder for Housing
- Cllr Caroline Ellis and Cllr Angie Jackson - Portfolio Holders for Wellbeing, Health and Safer Communities
