Rocori Spartan Youth Football

And that is a WRAP for the 2023 Rocori Spartan Youth Football season. Last night was the highlight of our season, which it always is. Pizza, Cookies, Soda, Prizes, and a guest speaker. The Viking fell through, twice, but we were truly blessed to have one of the most successful and most respected coaches from the area talk to our kids. James Herberg did an outstanding job. These kids will be lucky to learn from him in a few years. Thank you again to all of the volunteer coaches, parents, and to all of the kids for coming out and at minimum learning a couple things over the last 8 weeks. See you all soon and again, Thank you.
PS- Get on out there Thursday Night and cheer on the Rocori Spartans as they continue their state tournament run.

These two photos say it all about our Rocori Youth Football season. As the sun has set on this season the smiles on these kids faces show that the future or our program is strong and steadfast. We had a few nights of sketchy weather but we couldn't have asked for a nicer last night. Thank you again to all the kids, parents, and especially the volunteer coaches. Now focusing on getting the Varsity team back to the Bank.

Gameday, buckle up boys. Tonight we travel to #1 rated Hutch. I know our staff has these guys ready for the test. Show them Tigers the heart of a Spartan. Best of Luck guys.

Friday was an amazing success from all aspects. The attendance was awesome, the energy was awesome, and the ex*****on was awesome. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped and especially to all of the parents for bring the kids and trusting us to help them out. Big night for the kids, the young adults on the Varsity team, and the program as a whole. From 2nd grade thru 12th grade, the program is in amazing shape.

Exciting night. Home Football Game, Parents Night, and Youth Football plays at Halftime. Come on out and see a great product on and off of the field.

After the 1st night we set a record. 141 total participants. WOW!!!

Hopefully I don't a alot of responses to this but thought I would try something different this year. These are the teams I have thus far. There have been 10-15 people who still will be joining but as of now these are the teams. This is mostly for the coaches to know who will be coaching. Like I said earlier, we will need more volunteers in the 2nd and 3rd grade levels. I will announce these tomorrow and undoubtedly we will get there.

Two updates after last nights registrations:
1) If any older kids have jerseys that are a little tight or getting there, I have 12 Adult Smalls that can be substituted. I am in need of a few jerseys that are smaller than Adult Small if anyone would like to trade.
2) After putting rosters together, we will need a few more 2nd and 3rd grade parents to step in and help coach. Please jump in if you can. Without volunteer coaches we cannot offer this program to the lever with which we are accustomed. We have at least one coach per team right now but would like 2-3. Its pretty laid back so dont be intimidated.

I know I sent this out but I had to make a change due to a scheduling conflict. The date of the Pizza Party and Viking Visit has been bumped back to November 6th. The forms will all be incorrect but I will announce plenty of times before the date.

Just an FYI for whoever is interested. Be on the lookout for these forms at your childs school this fall. Grades 2nd - 5th Youth Football. Its a little early but coming up fast.

I had the pleasure to take part in the 2022 Rocori School Board Forum last night. It was an enlightening experience for me and an honor to get my opinions out to the public. I invite everyone to take a look and develop your opinion of the candidates. It was a little nerve wracking to start but in the end it was very fun. Please share this link with as many Rocori District residents as you can.

Great weather, Great people, Great stadium, Great night. The kids had a great experience on the field at Blattner Stadium. Thank you to all who helped out. It couldn't have gone off without you.

Quick Reminder.... Youth Football registration is tonight 9/6 from 6:00-7:00 at the Varsity Practice Field.

I need 2-3 kids (preferably 4-5th graders) to be ball boys with me on the sidelines this Friday 9/2 @7:00. 1st come 1st serve.

ATTENTION Youth Football players and alumni. Any and all kids 12 and under have been invited to run through the Spartan Tunnel before each Varsity home game. This is open to ANY local kids 12 and under. The kids will run out prior to the Varsity players, then line up to slap hands with the Varsity guys. If interested, start gathering 15 minutes prior to the games at the NW corner of the stadium. First game is only 1 week away, August 26th @ 7:00.

Wanted to give everyone an update on the 2022 Rocori Spartan Youth Football schedule. Registration will be Tuesday Sept. 6th @ 6:00 at the fields where we play. The Varsity practice fields. The forms will be handed out at your childs orientation conferences.
