Thank you to everyone that joined us at our annual foster parents' conference earlier this month!

The event is a great opportunity for foster parents and social workers to come together and share best practice to further improve fostering services for the city's children and young people in care.

We heard from a range of speakers focusing on the critical role of education in supporting children and young people in care to achieve positive outcomes, especially those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Our walks are always a great opportunity to chat with others and meet up with some of the fostering team.

fully appreciate that Father's Day can be emotionally challenging for some, none more so, than for children and young people in care, who may see the day as a reminder of their loss, or feel an overwhelming sense of abandonment.

With love, patience and nurturing these young people can begin to deal with their thoughts and feelings in a positive way. Thank you to all of our amazing foster parents this Father's day, you are brilliant, not just today, but everyday assisting young people to navigate their daily lives!
