Do you miss having a vibrant rap scene in Charlottesville? So do I. When covid arrived I predicted that moving forward, DIY spaces were going to be even more important for the health of local scenes than they already were. Sure enough, the last few years have seen the traditional venues we used to rely on either shut their doors, make it clear that rap shows aren’t welcome there, or turn into glorified pay-to-play spaces.
