The biggest advantage of HIIT(high intensity interval training—aka cardio bursts) is that you can get maximal health benefits in minimal time! We’re talking improved heart health, brain health, a boost in your mood and energy, and even an increased metabolism. All that HIIT involves is incorporating a movement for 1 minute throughout your normal workout routine, which can be as short as 15 minutes. HIIT can be anything from jumping jacks to sprinting to jumping rope—so that’s right parents, no equiptment necessary 💪🏻💪🏼💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿

is one of the most decorated ultra runners in the world and mama to baby Maj. This morning she set out to run the CCC 100km race as part of and was in the top three for a long time. Eventually she dropped out at 9hrs stating that it had been the longest she had been away from her daughter. And that it takes practice. We congratulate her to a spectacular return to racing.

Brandon from here again. 👋🏻

The truth is, we’re terrible at self-care. It’s hard to take care of yourself when you have to constantly take care of kids. I mean, personally, I couldn’t take care of myself BEFORE I had kids, and that’s why I got married. My wife became my caregiver when I tricked her into thinking this would be an equal partnership. 😈 But then came our three selfish offspring with their unnatural requests (“feed me”, “love me”, “blah blah blah”), and I’m the one left out in the cold. 😕 (See, I didn’t even make this picture)

I suppose I’m trying to say that taking time for, and care of, ourselves is a work in progress. It just doesn’t happen right now. And, honestly, it may not happen for me until the kids go away to college and I fake a mysterious illness that requires constant care and attention from my wife. (Sigh) 😔🤷🏼‍♂️

"Concept: a relationship with no gender roles. We both hustle, we both cook, we both clean, we both pay, we both spoil each other." - 🌱 How do you feel when it comes to sticking to stereotypical 'gender roles' in the house? Are they ones you tend to follow automatically without question, is there a conscious decision, or maybe, do you find that you and your partner often flip flop? Let's discuss 💭
