Thanksgiving can bring on so many emotions. It is one of my most favorite times of the year but it is so busy between cleaning, cooking, balancing multiple family get togethers, and Black Friday shopping. I find myself being completely depleted and "peopled out". I found this wonderful recipe last year and fell in love. When you need a timeout and want to go hide from the chaos, give this recipe a try.

Too Much Family

6 drops Lavender

5 drops Stress Away

3 drops Valor

Have you ever had a greasy, saucy explosion of a mess inside your microwave? It’s happened more times then I can count in my kitchen! Here’s a super easy cleaning hack that uses two of my favorites, Thieves and Lemon essential oils, that’ll have your microwave back to sparkling clean in no time!

What you’ll need:
A glass bowl or glass measuring cup
Two cups of water
Two tablespoons of white vinegar
One drop of Thieves essential oil
One drop of Lemon essential oil

Combine all the ingredients and microwave for five minutes. Very carefully remove the bowl, it’s going to be extremely hot! Then simply wipe down the inside of your microwave the stuck on food and gunk will wipe right off!

Cooler Days Diffuser Mix
3 drops of Idaho Blue Spruce
2 drops of Ylang Ylang
2 drops of Orange
1 drop of Northern Lights Black Spruce

Summer is over and the cooler temperatures are coming soon. The winter months can be just as hard on our pups as the summer months. If you live in an area where it snows, your dog's paws can really suffer from the elements.

Here is a recipe that you can use on the pads of your furry friends!

PAW PROTECTION BALM:
2 TBSP Shea Butter
2 TBSP Coconut Oil
1 TSP Jojoba Oil
2 TBSP Beeswax
1-2 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
1-2 Drops Frankincense Essential Oil
1-2 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil

Melt the Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil and Beeswax over a double boiler on the stove top or intermittent intervals in the microwave, stirring in between intervals. Once melted together, remove from heat and allow to slightly cool. Add the Essential Oils and stir to combine. Transfer mixture to a glass container. Once the balm is totally cool, apply to your pets paw pads as needed.

This 🍋🍃 citrus mint hand salve smells amazing, and it is super moisturizing for dry skin, cuticles and even cracked heels. I wish this post was a scratch and sniff, because this combo of spearmint, lemon, and lime is heavenly!

SUPPLIES:
3 ounces olive oil
3 ounces sunflower oil
2.5 Tablespoons beeswax pellets
1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil
40 drops spearmint essential oil
20 drops lime essential oil
20 drops lemon essential oil
Short, wide mouth mason jars or 2-ounce round tins
glass measuring cup
liquid droppers
spatula or spoon

INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine the olive oil and sunflower oil with the beeswax pellets in a medium-sized glass measuring cup or bowl. Microwave on high, in 30-second increments, until the beeswax pellets have melted. Stir well after each 30 seconds, as this will help melt the beeswax. It should not take more than a minute or two to melt the pellets.

Once the beeswax is melted, add the Vitamin E oil and stir to combine.

Add in the essential oils, stirring well to incorporate the fragrance throughout the mixture. While mixture is still liquified, pour into mason jars and tins.

Allow to cool and set completely for several hours, before putting the tops on the containers.

The hand salve will remain soft to the touch when it is set.

You can even change up the oils in the recipe for different seasons. I like the citrus ones because it reminds me of Summer time, and makes me happy!!

Creamy Body Wash

30 Drops EO
2 Cups Castile Soap
1 Cup Raw Coconut Oil
1 Cup Sweet Almond Oil
1 Tbsp Vegetable Glycerin
1 Tsp Vitamin E Oil (optional)

In a double boiler, slowly melt coconut oil. Once melted, remove from heat, and using an electric mixer slowly add in all other ingredients and blend thoroughly. Pour into containers of choice. Makes 32-40 oz.

Wooden cutting boards have always been my favorite, however they can be tricky to clean. Placing them in the dishwasher is a no-no, so trying to find a safe and effective way to clean them after discovering the nasty things we find in everyday cleaners became a little mission for me.

Cutting board spray recipe:
•8 oz glass spray bottle
•1/3 cup of distilled white vinegar
•3 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner
•10 drops Orange Essential Oil
•fill the rest with water
•Spray liberally and wash with a warm wet cloth

Cutting board oil recipe:
•2 oz glass pump bottle
•fill 3/4 full with quality olive oil
•15 drops Thieves essential oil blend
•5 drops Orange or Lemon essential oil
•Apply enough to thinly cover the cutting board and rub in with a clean and dry sponge in a circular motion all the wood grain. Allow to air dry for an hour before storing away.

How about some Dill Deviled Eggs... 🥚
Hard boil 6 eggs, split in half and scoop out the yolks. In a bowl combine 2 TBSP olive oil, 2 Tbsp minced celery, 1 1/4 tsp dijon mustard, 1/4 cup mayo, 1 drop Dill Vitality oil, 1 Tbsp minced chive, and salt & pepper to taste with the egg yolks. Mash & stir together before filling empty egg whites with your filling. Garnish each egg with half a manzanilla olive, chives and a sprinkling of paprika! Sit back and enjoy your slam dunk snack while your favorite team plays!

1 Bag Green Tea
1-2 drops Thieves Vitality essential oil
1-4 tsp Raw Honey to taste

Boil water and pour over green tea bag in a mug
Steep for 2-3 minutes

Stir all ingredients in a bowl. Adjust the fractionated coconut oil to your preference. I like mine a little runny. Spoon into a pint sized mason jar. Easy peasy and only pennies to make!
