The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, coordinated by the Global Network of People living with HIV and is one of the world’s oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV awareness in the world. Started in 1983, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial takes place every third Sunday in May and is led by a coalition of some 1,200 community organizations in 115 countries. The

Republic Square Park - 422 Guadalupe Street - Downtown Austin - 7:30pm till 8:30pm - Memorial Service
Theme - "Let's Keep the Light on HIV."
Speakers, remembrances, AIDS Quilts, music, prayers and more. Free community service literature, condoms, Bottle Water, Commemorative AIDS Candles & Red AIDS Ribbons to wear and take away for all attendees while supplies last.
Before & After Service - Free and Confidential HIV Testing - 4pm till 9:30pm - Provided by The Austin/Travis County Health & Human Service. Located @ 4th and Lavaca Streets in the Warehouse District, One Block from Republic Square Park.
Both Service and Testing are Free and Open to the Public.
Service Only - (In Case of Rain: Bethell Hall at St. David’s Episcopal Church located at: 301 E. 8th Street. - Austin)
