Found a few good nuggets for some future paintings today.
I have an unusual opportunity to revisit a blast from the past (from 2005). This lovely work has been with a collector, and I was able to borrow it back temporarily in order to make prints.
Soon it will be joining the other giclees I have available at airwerxart.com , and then returning to its rightful owners.
For decades I have thought of myself as an artist, a painter specifically. I have never imagined I'd get into video production.
But here I find myself, out in the studio, knocking it all out simultaneously.
A one person production company.
Ya' know, this sliver of a late model Camero in my painting is trying to kick my butt today!
But it won't defeat me.
Yup. Couldn't help myself. I painted without ya'll.
But only a little.
However- tomorrow morning I'll be back at it and live.
Grab a big cup-a-java and join me! ( Or just check it out later.)
I'm going to try to wrap this one up this week. I might need y'all's help with a title again too.
See you at Oh Seven Hondo.
This mornings "Coffee Time".
Join me tomorrow morning. While we enjoy our coffee, you can watch as I finish up the headlight on this T-bucket, and move one to the Camero behind it. It'll be 7am- but only on my Airwerx Art Studio page.
11 hours in the studio today. I feel worn out, but looking at this pic, makes it feel worthwhile! See y'all tomorrow.
And as always- If you hit like, do me a solid and share too!
I swear I don't mind. 😁 And I thank you in advance!
Don't forget to check out (and share) airwerxart.com✌️
I don't think I can emphasize how much fun I'm having, revisiting and resolving all these paintings that fell by the wayside..... you know, the "pile". Resurrecting this particular one has been such fun the last few days. Instead of painting a brown car, I've been painting all the storefronts reflected on the side of a T-bucket. And, it looks like a T-bucket! 🤔
I really enjoy that.
Oh yeah- that headlight there, it gets that same storefront treatment... just upsidedown, and really distorted 🤪. That makes it more fun!
I guess a key to my art is - You never know what you see until you really, really look at.
Really, go look at it!
Maybe all this helps some of you understand me better.✌️
Onward.
Guess this is enough progress, at least for before breakfast.
You go and have a great day, just check back with me later, I might just finish this T-bucket.
My day.......in the studio, working on more from the unfinished painting pile.
For the most part, I'm excited about the progress I'm making. I've only given up on one canvas. I'm not abandoning the vision I had for it, but the OG canvas is garbage.😠 There's another three that, with some effort, can be salvaged. Fingers crossed.
Been painting most of the day on another dusty unfinished painting from the pile. I think it's 30" square.
Photo 1 was 7 am, and #2 was just now. I think I like this painting again!
Fit a quick little lettering job in between the rain showers today. I always enjoy getting my lettering brushes dirty every now and then!
Who else needs the name on something?😃 Call me!
Raining like..... well, you know the cliche.
I'm safe in the studio, trying to remember what a friend's van looked like... Only from 25+ years ago.
No photo reference? No problem, I got this!
(Apologies to you Vette fans.)
My continuing mission: to finish these paintings that have been tucked here or there...... well, it goes on. I currently have 5 dusted off. Yeah. Five. Just leaning up there, staring back.
Mocking me 😳.
But this one here, I've had back on the easel. I felt kinda stuck and thought I had no references or drawings anymore. It was started, honestly, in a previous century. There have been 3 different views thru and reflecting in that window!
But, today I found true gold, to me at least-
It is the line drawing!
Not only does it have the details of the original view inside the window which were overpainted long ago. It also has the full details of "version 2" overlaid. The reflection is the view from my favorite coffee shop from years ago. It's got those details that I wanted, but I thought were gone forever!
Woohoo!!! Already started drawing a few back in! back to it now!
And as always, if you like what you see, tell a friend.

I just finished some final work last week on this (again) and really dig it..... So I'm just gonna let this one speak for itself.
It airbrushed with urethane enamel on canvas.
Gimme some feedback!
Well, Well. It's Friday, and the paintings are done. Now it's time to announce the titles I selected from all of those that were submitted.
The first winner is Sol Riverside for his entry title- 'Sneer". To me- he captured a sense that I had about this image... This Mustang is pi**ed about being left like this!
The second painting title was actually a tie!
The winning suggestion was submitted by two different folks, just slightly different spelling. I chose "Whatta ya have' Whatta ya have?" for the chop top Merc at the Varsity.
Jody Tuszynski and Donald Holdman both will be receiving prints of this artwork!
Congratulations to all three winners!
Here I go again! Need a title for this 22" x 28" painting of a classic Mercury at the downtown Varsity.
Get your submission in by end of this Wednesday!
If I select your title, you win a free giclee print of this piece delivered to your door!
Winners for both paintings will be announced on Friday.
and please, as always- share, Share, SHARE!!
