Meet our artists for Four Blank Walls!
Minion:
In a lab experiment, a scientist added sugar, spice and everything nice into a flask to create the perfect something or other. However, they accidentally spilled the entire box of chemical M, and thus created a tiny, fluffy and very pink creature, Minion. Partial to breaking her thumbs over rhythm games, Minionβs music taste leans towards rock, pop and throwing in techno where techno shouldnβt be. Minion is very new to the whole βpush button to make musicβ thing, but hopefully something nice comes out of the chaos eventually.
VYLT:
A cauldron-brewed concoction of witchcraft, Halloween, retro synthesizers and the colour purple, VYLT summons her occult tastes to life through the medium of music. Her primary genres are darksynth, horrorsynth and synth metal, conjuring tracks with a signature melodic high-energy style inspired by darksynth legends such as Perturbator, Carpenter Brut and Dance With The Dead. Rich, powerful melodies mixed with punchy drums, gritty basses and spooky synths will be sure to leave you spellbound, terrified and raving in the grave.
POLYBLANK:
A temporally displaced tabula rasa vibrantly colored with nostalgia for the future and possibilities for the past, POLYBLANK is a multidisciplinary electronic anachronism who bends circuits to their will. They long not for their nexus of origin, but rather know the value of experimentation, emergence, and ephemeral excitation to let spacetime do the talking.

βTo be honest, I just do whatever comes to mind that sounds great.
I specialize in creating cool grooves to get distracted to. I see music as an avenue for self-expression, and for self-discovery in unpredictable ways. My main hobbies actually involve programming, so I might look out of place.β

FALLING ISLANDS is a half-human, half-synthesizer cyborg from an alternate 1984, where it is always night-time, and the streets are always bathed in the fluorescent, purple-red hues of neon lights. After a freak accident with a lightning rod, a flux capacitor, and a toaster, he finds himself flung forward in time into the 21st centuryβthe future! With nothing but his wits, his flannel jacket, his inconsistent backstory, his penchant for narrating exposition in the third-person, and his undying love for all things synthesizers, Falling Islands seeks to bring the sounds of yesteryear into the future, all while trying to find a way back to his original timeline.

Having been exposed to a multitude of art forms by her family since birth, ΓCE (government name: Aisha) developed an ever-intensifying passion for the creative. Electronic music production is one key way she expresses and evolves in her identity. Some expressive quirks include playing air-drums in public and going wild over cathartic finale chord progressions. While mainly raised with hip-hop and R&B, ΓCE is truly inspired by anythingβeven movie scores. Just saying...killer motifs make her go nuts.

BOKEH FIELDS sees music as a boundless outlet for exploring emotion and meaning, and a vast playground for sonic experimentation to express the aforementioned. Notable instruments present in his works include piano on microcassette, warped wind chimes, frequency-filtered running water, and ice cubes. In the relentless pursuit of a dreamer within, producer FiNeSiTe strives to transcribe entrancing melodies out of constantly stifled emotions amidst the bleakness and monotony of day to day living. As the years go by, the awakening through an eclipse is ultimately just a mere fabrication in the minds of delusional individuals like them.

EXPERIMENTAL HARMONIES started out as a pianist who played lots of classical and romantic music since she was aged 9. This enabled her to incorporate both acoustic and electronic music influences into her tracks, as well as adopt a narrative style of songwriting by combining music elements of different genres to convey certain messages. Given that music has always been her outlet during her highs and lows, she hopes to incorporate life experiences as she believes that music can unite people with common experiences, as well as liberate them in terms of emotional expression.

SPACECAT is a cat tumbleweeding through space. There are no sounds in space but with a bit of imagination and a computer, sounds can be made. With a bit of imagination, you can hear these sounds too. Not sure what sounds she gravitates towards, but a cat does what a cat wants.

The intersection of jazz and electronic music is not well-known, yet ALU finds a home in its sound. He now explores the chiller side of the spectrum with his latest album, βeverything is cakeβ. A renewed focus on melody and texture underscores the familiar jazzy harmonic language characterizing his previous works.

VIVI has always been intrigued by the production techniques in the songs she hears β constantly listening out for the different layers in songs, VIVI strives to recreate such musical atmospheres herself.
Though inspired by a plethora of music genres ranging from Pop and EDM to TV/movie soundtracks, VIVI is not limiting herself to any specific genre. She aims to make music her own way, creating tracks of her own style (some may even say her own genre).
