For many of us there comes a point in our lives where we awaken to something more... the recognition that the old ways of living and being no longer serve us. There is a need to travel within and listen to that intuitive voice that has been nudging us for some time to make changes in our lives. Often this comes after a huge tower moment in our lives when everything we thought we were or that we could rely on collapses and we are left bewildered and feeling naked and vulnerable. We are left asking questions like ' how did I get here? and what now? How will I survive?'
It is like all our outer walls come crumbling down and we are left with the realisation that we have been living by the rules given to us by society and guided by our ego mind to strive for what will make us 'happy and successful' according to the conditions placed upon us by the external world. We begin to feel dead inside and know that there is more. We begin sensing our souls compass and the whispers of that deeper, wiser, intuitive part of ourselves become louder and louder guiding us to look within ... to become more of our authentic self. Alot of people are experiencing this right now on the planet and it can feel terrifying ... like a death of all that you have known and identified with. If this is happening to you either on an inner or outer level, know that you are not alone. You are exactly where you are meant to be and you are always being guided. I have experienced many mini deaths and crumblings like this through my life time ... each one took me to a deeper part of me, and allowed healing and the shedding of all that no longer served me moving forward. In the past this came with alot of resistance and fear and clinging on to the old, but more recently it has become easier... , I know the process and the trust the nudgings of my soul. There is only one thing harder than listening and that is not listening and staying stuck and stagnant in a way of being that you have outgrown. I am so grateful to the wonderful people I have met on my journey especially over the last 7 years that have helped me navigate the path less travelled and helped me know myself and gather the tools to go within and learn all that we are not taught in everyday life. Energy healing and reiki has been a huge part of my healing journey and understanding that everything is energy and we are energetic beings that our physical body is only a tiny aspect of.
