Positions Available:
President
Manages the committee. In charge of re-affiliating with the SU, liaising with LWOB HQ and ensuring the general smooth running of events, research projects and fundraising. For this role, we are looking for organisation, leadership and communication skills.
Vice President
Supports the President. In charge of running the annual debating competition and managing the committee in lieu of the President. For this role, we are looking for organisation, leadership and communication skills.
General Secretary
Responsible for maintaining communications with the society through newsletters and mailing list. Also responsible for liaising with law school to book rooms and send out communications to student body. For this role, we are looking for time-management, team-work and good written communication skills.
Social Secretary
Manages liaisons with other societies to organise social events. For this role, we are looking for pro-active, creative and energetic people.
Research Directors (x4)
Responsible for recruiting, leading and managing research projects which we receive from LWOB HQ. For this role, we are looking for individuals with a demonstrable interest in research, human rights, international law or associated subjects. We are also looking for good leadership, the ability to project-manage and organisational skills.

Hi all,
Two exciting opportunities have become available for those of you who wish to be on the Lawyers without Borders committee.
The two roles available are: Treasurer and Publicity Officer
Treasurer
If you wish to take up the role of Treasurer, you will be expected to:
> Monitor all the society’s accounts
> Ensure we are kept within budget and spending our money wisely
> Liaise with the SU about our budgetary requirements
>Take part and make contributions to general committee activities
Publicity Officer
If you wish to be our Publicity Officer, you will need to:
> Be able to use all social media sites e.g. Facebook, Twitter etc to an able standard
> Be able to manage the website
> Have creative ideas about how we can promote the society and its events
> Take part and make contributions to general committee activities

Hi, everyone!
The Lawyers WIthout Borders Student Division frequently conducts research on issues related to human rights and international law. We are currently doing a project related to Artistic Freedom in Iran and Somalia.
This project will require individuals who have an interest in human rights, freedom of expression and censorship. You will need to be a self-starter and proactive in your approach. Whilst previous research is a plus, it is not a requirement.
Above all, a successful applicant will work well in a team, be responsive to deadlines and demonstrate clarity of thinking. This research project will be delivered to LWOB HQ (the parent organisation) and must be of the highest calibre.
Human rights is a competitive area to get into and this will be a unique addition to your CV.
