THE RIGHT ATTITUDE TOWARD EVILDOERS

“Trust in the Lord and live right!” Ps 37:3 CEV The media bombards us with stories of evildoers like pedophiles who prey on children or unscrupulous financiers taking advantage of the elderly. And just when you think it can’t get worse, it does! What should you do if you encounter an evildoer? (1) Call the authorities and pursue earthly justice to the fullest. (2) Pray for them. Jesus said, “Pray for them which despitefully use you” (Lk 6:28). (3) Make up your mind not to become like them. (4) Realize that one day God will right every wrong. (5) Keep your peace and stay focused on God. “Don’t be annoyed by anyone who does wrong, and don’t envy them. They will soon disappear like grass without rain. Trust in the Lord and live right! The land will be yours, and you will be safe. Do what the Lord wants, and he will give you your heart’s desire. Let the Lord lead you and trust him to help. Then it will be as clear as the noonday sun that you were right. Be patient and trust the Lord. Don’t let it bother you when all goes well for those who do sinful things. Don’t be angry or furious. Anger can lead to sin…The wicked will lose all of their power, but the Lord gives strength to everyone who is good. Those who obey the Lord are daily in his care, and what he has given them will be theirs forever. They won’t be in trouble when times are bad, and they will have plenty when food is scarce…If you do what the Lord wants, he will make certain each step you take is sure. The Lord will hold your hand, and if you stumble, you still won’t fall” (Ps 37:1-8, 18-19, 23-24 CEV)

Forgiveness is not an emotion forgiveness is an act of the will, And the will can function regardless of the temperature of the heart... Corrie ten Boom

In our society of instant gratification, self centered focus, and hyper sensitive highly offended individuals we have stopped looking inward at our own responsibility to anything.
It seems like the bible is being quoted and weaponized to validate our scripture twisting to fit a feel good gospel devoid of any personal cost. Lots of verses quoting the feel good promises without the context of the commandments that bring about those precious promises seem to be the norm.

We have a responsibility to align our lives up with His word not spend all our energies doing the opposite to make ourselves feel better. Then we actually become shocked and angry when the promises fail to manifest in our lives regardless of the fact we tried to subvert Gods word to get them.

Learning to die to self ,love our enemies, forgiving others ,putting on Christ , develop our character and produce fruit of the spirit.... ect ect ect. Taste and see that the Lord is good today submit your life to His will, and may His abundant blessing rule over your life as a byproduct of loving Him and seeking first the Kingdom.

Give Him control in every situation not just in your hour of need like some cosmic genie who's at your beck and call to come fix your messes and approve your sin that got you there.
The good news is we can start at any moment in any condition to get back in his will. To put ourselves back into His lordship and start receiving His blessings in our lives, but it will come by obedience to the word of God.

Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
