History of Axe Throwing | Rage Montreal 19/10/2018

What's this all about you ask? Axe Throwing?...at a bar?? WTH?? Actually axe throwing is one of the oldest competitive activities around. See the History of Axe Throwing .https://www.ragemontreal.com/en/history-of-axe-throwing/

Q and A
Is it safe? Yes. Performed in a safe area with rules and proper instruction it is very safe.

Will I be able to actually throw an axe? Yes. Most need a bit of instruction to get the axe to stick. Some get it right away, just depends on you. There is a technique, just like swinging a bat, tennis racket or gold club or even casting a fly rod. Your first stick is a good feeling and then you are on your way to nailing the bullseye!!

Can children participate?
Absolutely!! Tomahawk throwing is one of the oldest activities in the BSA Boy Scouts of America. Go to my site page and check out the Jumanji Bullseye Club. In my experience I would say the youngest age would be 7, all depends on their ability and how well they take instruction. http://www.flyfishingecuador.com/wilderness-survival

Is instruction included? Yes. Everyone is required to go through a free one time only safety and throwing instruction. Takes about 15 minutes. Your name is logged and on your next visit simply go straight to throwing.

What if I need additional instruction?
On going throwing instruction while you are throwing is included at no extra cost. My goal is to have you sticking every shot and having fun.

Are the axes heavy?
Not really. Most of my axes are only 1 1/2 pounds. I have larger and smaller axes and tomahawks available as well. You will fins your match.

What is the cost? $5 per person per half hour of throwing time.

How many targets are there?
Currently there are two target stands which means only two people can throw at a time. There will be expansion, improvements and additional targets hopefully every week.

What are the Throwing days?
Currently the throwing days are Thursday and Friday nights starting at 1900 hrs and soon the throwing will be available every Saturday starting at 12 noon.

What if someone is drunk and throwing axes?
Not going to happen. An AXPERT...me, will be on site and observing at all times. That's my job. If anyone appears to be a bit too buzzed they will not be allowed in the throwing area.

Hope to see you there. ROCK FORK in Cuenca. Its on Facebook.
