Sound healing is an ancient wellness practice for healing, relaxation, and self-care. A sound healing session involves lying down in a cozy and comfortable setting, closing our eyes, and focusing on sounds made by music instruments like chimes, gongs, and singing bowls.

In sound therapy, listening to these frequencies is associated with healing effects on body and soul and being able to put the body into a balanced movement.

Just don’t breathe in fact deep breathe to have a long and healthy life, both physically and mentally. Learn about the amazing deep breathing benefits.

Deep Breathing Exercises: Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Close your eyes and take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs with air. Focus on breathing into your abdomen rather than your chest. Hold your breath for a moment, then slowly exhale through your mouth, releasing tension and stress with each breath. Repeat this process several times, focusing on the sensation of your breath entering and leaving your body. Try to make each breath slow, deep, and rhythmic.

USE OF CRYSTALS IN REIKI :-
Crystal Reiki is defined as the use of crystals in combination with the channeling of Reiki (healing energies) to stimulate the self-healing mechanisms of the mind, body and spirit.When Reiki Practitioners integrate crystals during their private sessions, they enhance the healing experience for their clients. Crystals are easy to acquire and not only add a lovely ambiance to the environment, but they also possess healing qualities as well.
There are several different ways you can use crystals during a Reiki healing treatment. They may be held by the client, placed on different areas of the body or may even be placed around the treatment room to help facilitate healing during the session.

We are not limited to the ones I’ve shown, lots of crystals can help, pick ones you are drawn to.

Hello there! I’m Claire, the proud owner behind The Buddha and the Butterfly.

Your presence here brings me immerse joy. Let me share a bit about myself; I’m a devoted single mum with unwavering passion for crystals, reiki and holistic therapy. I’ve always been draw to woo woo since being a teenager.

My children call me a witch lol and say I’m addicted to Buddhas as I have far to many.

My journey into the realm of energy healing and holistic wellness was ignited over the last 6 months. I’ve always worn crystals, and been interested in woo woo. It was only recently that I attended a aura reading class, my reiki attunements, angel card reading class and currently on a awareness and development course which I’m currently loving.

These marked the inception of my profound spiritual awakening, where I recognised the interconnection of all living beings and the energy that binds us.

I delved deeper into transformative modalities like reiki, crystals, chakras, manifestation. My approach shifted from external healing to an introspective journey within it also helped having close friends that support and joined the journey with me.

Claire did my reiki treatment on a Friday evening after a long week at work. She really helped me to relax my body. I really struggle to switch off and relax and this treatment helped. I felt like there was a darkness/shadow over me. Claire said that she felt lots of heat over my stomach and heart. I felt that the heat over my stomach could be hormonal and Claire suggested I practice some more self love with relation to the heat over my heart. I have to agree with Claire that I need to do more if this. Xx

B.K.S. Iyengar was born in India in 1918 and died in 2014. He was a yogi, yoga teacher, and developed the style of yoga that is named after him. He’s also credited with spreading yoga’s popularity around the world through his books and teachings. Amazingly, up until his final years, he continued to practice yoga multiple hours each day.

Iyengar shares a view of health that aligns with Quadrants perspective. In his words:

“Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.”

As Iyengar expresses, to be completely healthy, we need to consider our physical bodies, our minds, and our spirit. All areas need to function optimally for us to have complete wellbeing. Iyengar used his yoga practice to support his physical body, mind, and spirit and to produce harmony and wellness.

I offered someone a Reiki treatment that’s had a rough year. They aren’t familiar with Reiki so they asked me how it would help?

Here’s what I said: Our bodies are amazing, with the ability to self-repair a myriad of issues BUT they need one thing in able to do those repairs - relaxation.
Reiki helps a person to access deep levels of relaxation. It facilitates the recipient to engage their own relaxation mechanism required to do essential repairs such as eliminate waste products, fight infections, digest food, repair injuries, balance salt concentrations, empty our minds, detox the past, allow healthy blood flow and feel ready to take on the day.

The Reiki healer isn’t doing the healing, the Reiki healer is helping the recipient to do their own healing by providing:
1) a quiet space for a person to unwind and be present
2) a sympathetic listening ear
3) undivided attention
4) a chance to work on yourself
5) energetic support
6) positive touch
7) a reason to just be for 60 minutes doing nothing other than relax
8) protection whilst you switch off and look after yourself.

In our modern, fast-paced life, repair work is often dismissed as a waste of time in the race to the top. Relaxation, if it’s done, is things like watching TV, playing games, doing exercise, cleaning, chatting, cooking or gardening - and whilst these things are lovely and definitely have a place - it’s not the deep relaxation your body needs to mop up the wear and tear of the day. Furthermore, modern sleep habits rarely allow for high quality rest anymore, leaving us feeling frazzled before the day has even begun.
When we don’t give our bodies the right environment to repair from living, we get sick. Like a car that never gets serviced, we eventually run ourselves into the ground.
For many people Reiki is an essential part of their self-care regime. It’s a chance to down tools and invest in their physical, mental and spiritual health.

A treatment can help reset yourself after a difficult year or keep yourself well in readiness for whatever life may bring.
Treatment can be done as a one off, a regular schedule or taught so you can treat yourself at home.
