A recent study by India's food safety regulator found that 68.4% of milk samples examined didn't meet its standards. While most samples had been diluted with water, skimmed milk powder or sweeteners, some revealed more unpleasant surprises such as Detergent, hydrogen peroxide and even urea are just some of the substances you may have ingested last time you had milk.

It's doesn't take much to find out if your milk is adulterated. A few quick and easy tests can tell you if your milk is laced with any adulterant. There are also adulteration test kits available in the market today. Although a little pricey, these kits are helpful to use.
