Recovery charities across Yorkshire and the UK gathered for Hull's very first Faces & Voices of Recovery UK Recovery Walk on the weekend.

Hull will take part in the 104th anniversary of the 1918 Artimice with a Remembrance Sunday 2022 Service.
Beginning at 10.30am on Sunday 13 November, the service will include a parade, to the city centre Cenotaph, the annual service of remembrance at 10.55am, before observing the national two minute silence at 11am.

Hull Liberal Democrats have announced a £250,000 Crime Prevention Fund.
The Crime Prevention Fund will be a crime-fighting pot available to local residents to fund initiatives to reduce crime and make neighbourhoods safer by targeting burglaries, anti-social behaviour, arson, shoplifting and other crimes affecting locals.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has agreed to an initial half a million pounds of cost-of-living support measures as part of the Help for Households campaign.
The campaign aims to support residents in the East Riding who need financial help or struggling to manage during the cost of living crisis.

Prime Minister Liz Truss has said ending the moratorium on extracting huge reserves of shale could get gas flowing in as soon as six months, where there is local support.
Chief executive of extraction firm Cuadrilla, Francis Egan, said the announcement sets the foundation to move towards gas self-sufficiency, and not be reliant on "the whims of dictators", or the "vagaries of international supply lines and prices".

Tributes continue to pour in across the Humber estuary for Queen Elizabeth II.
One such tribute was the Islamic Centre Scunthorpe, who said they were saddened to hear of Her Majesty's passing, adding she was very deeply respected and loved around the world.
Chairperson Mohammed Afzal Khan reflected on the Queen's 2002 visit to the centre for her Gold Jubilee, describing Her Majesty as incredibly down to earth.
An East Yorkshire artist has received widespread praise for her latest artwork in tribute to Queen Elizabeth.
Eleanor Tomlinson, who also garnered national attention for her Platinum Jubilee sketch of the Queen with Paddington Bear, created another sketch depicting the Queen surrounded by her favourite people and things in commemoration of her reign.
Eleanor wanted the image to encompass "everything the Queen loved."
