There is no truer assurance that rehabilitation and protection of nature and environment is happening than when tree growing becomes a passion among those who are entrusted with the responsibility. This is observable in the work ethics of a group of Palaw Rangers who come to the MENRE-LDS Demo Nursery at the Main Office even on Saturdays to accomplish tasks like soil bagging and seed sowing in order to make up for the days that they had to report to their mother camps while the peace process phase on Decommissioning of Combatants is on-going.

They could have made up for it on other working days but they prefer to work overtime when not many people are around to disrupt their happy routines. Also, they have standard quotas to fulfill but they oftentimes accomplish more just in sheer inspired mood. This week in focus, they are sowing Mahogany seeds, bamboo propagules and different varieties of fruit seeds.

Noting the marked enthusiasm of the men, PENREO Asmarie M. Labao, lauded their efforts and their great show of industry, responsibility and cooperation. Indeed, he says, "When good men show a passion to help save and recover balding forests and watersheds, and help stave off threats of future food scarcity, the universe connives to bring good deeds to fruition and success.

Inshaa Allah, the work of the Palaw Rangers and all who work passionately to restore the balance that Allah has set perfectly for man's comfort and guidance, shall not be in vain. Every effort, no matter how small, matters significantly and shall be reckoned of great credit and value to those who do it passionately, everytime and for all times.

The very inspiration comes from the Most Merciful, Most Merciful Creator and Lord of the Universe. Kudos therefore to nature healers, stewards of the Merciful gifts of Allah (swt)!
