CALL OF DUTY - BLACK OPS 6

Call of Duty is an Activision published warfare-based console video game series that was initially developed by Infinity Ward, Teyarch and Sledgehammer Games. The most popular of the recent releases of the game is currently Call of Duty - Modern Warfare III with announcement of the upcoming instalment scheduled for release October 25, 2024 titled 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 6'. It will be version 21 of the Call of Duty series and the seventh titled release in the Black Ops sub-series following 2020's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Xbox Game Pass subscribers are assured it will be available on the platform on the day of release. So far, it is known that the game console formats the game shall be released for are PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.

The Storyline:
Set during the early 1990s Call of Duty - Black Ops 6's single-player campaign—described as a "dynamic and intense spy thriller". The multi-player component of the game bring players sixteen brand-new maps at launch, and also restore several features from the previous Call of Duty titles, such as the "Prestige" levelling system. The game is due to feature a new iteration of the cooperative round-based Zombies mode, with two all-new maps being set for inclusion at launch, and include omni-directional movement mechanics allowing for players to sprint, dive and slide in any direction.

Black Ops 6 developers boast the game having the longest development cycle in Call of Duty history, spanning four years and some Treyarch employees have stated that online they have been 'play testing' Call of Duty - Black Ops 6 since 2022. Marketing for the game began in May 2024 and a full reveal debuted following the airing of the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase event on June 9.
