Q. Do I need to come to your office to apply for my CreditSmart loan?
A. No, the entire process can be done online. With your phone, tablet or laptop.
Q. Do I need to have a bank account in order to apply for a CreditSmart loan?
A. Yes. A bank account in Hong Kong is required.
Q. How much can I borrow?
A. This depends on your income and history with CreditSmart. Members who have borrowed from CreditSmart before and paid back accordingly will be able to borrow more than a member who borrows from CreditSmart for the first time.
Q. If I'm approved, how should I pay back?
A. CreditSmart will send you your account statement once a month. You find the payment instructions on the statement. A bank transfer is usually the easiest way.
Q. My employer doesn't allow me to share his/her phone number with others but in the application I'm asked to provide it.
A. For a successful application we will need your employer's phone number. Do not worry as we will not contact him/her. We only need to keep it on record in case of any default payments.
