Aurora Highland History: This Aurora neighbourhood on the west side of Yonge Street was originally part of King Township. It is made up of Part Lot 80 which was purchased by William Tyler in 1805. All of the west side of Yonge Street south of Wellington Street, east of Bathurst Street to where the United Church stood until the fire of 2014 was part of the Tyler farm. The land west of Murray Drive is part of the neighbourhood. The east part is included in the Aurora Village neighbourhood. Lot 79 south to Cousins Drive and Yonge Street was taken by William Kennedy. It includes Kennedy Street which was named for his father and Reuben Street for his son. Again, the part of the lot west of Murray Drive is included in Aurora Highlands to
