NAVAL BASE GUAM (Feb. 21, 2024) – U.S. Naval Base Guam Executive Officer Cmdr. Phil Smith met with members of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) during a visit to NBG, Feb. 20. The purpose of the visit is part of the GAO’s work under the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024. Some discussions included infrastructure and growth at NBG.
The GAO supports Congress in meeting its constitutional responsibilities and helps improve the performance and accountability of the federal government for the benefit of the American people.
