Another year of WI gun hunting at the farm in the books.

Spent over 45 hours in a stand over the 9 day season. Saw plenty of deer just not the ones we were looking for.

Blessed to be apart of the tradition at the farm and look forward to the rest of this season!

And that’s a wrap on the Missouri gun season trip.

Thanks to Dawson’s sharp shooting him and I were able to put this Missouri stud down on the last morning.

All together the group put down over 6 bucks within the last couple days.

Couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity.

Rainy day in Wisconsin.

Sat this morning and tonight, saw a few deer each sit. All baldies and no bucks.

The rain is ending tomorrow morning right as the sun comes up so hopefully that gets the deer on their feet and moving. Time will tell.

Idaho dump.

It’s been a hard hunt so far for the boys out west. But nonetheless it was quite the experience.

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

Truly blessed to live in this country and be able to work the land. It wouldn’t be without all the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for the greater good of our nation. Happy 4th of July to everyone out there, especially our veterans!

Another year, another tree planting! 🌲🌳

Planting trees is an excellent way to get outdoors and improve the land. This I believe is our 5th year of planting trees.

Cant wait to see what they grow into.

Looking back on this year, It was definitely one for the books. One thing that I will never forget is hunting with Blake and watching him shoot his biggest buck to date.

Now we are beginning a new year with new seasons and a new chance to harvest more trophy’s, feed our families, and spend time with family and friends in the outdoors. It’s important to remember your experiences are solely determined by yourself. The adventures you go on, the risks you take, and the memories you walk away with are priceless. Keep adventuring and keep learning!

Thank you to everyone who made last season unforgettable, I can’t wait for what Deer Season 2023 brings.

But first up, Bring on Spring Turkey Season!! 🦃💥

Little late season target practice never hurt nobody.

Always cool to shoot the ravin and push the distance as far as we can. Even though I don’t personally use a crossbow I don’t have any problems with others who do. It is definitely a tool that increases your odds of success.

There’s still a good amount of season yet and movement should start switching back over to food if it hasn’t already. It’s not to late to put in a few hours and punch your tag still. Good luck to everyone out there still grinding and trying to finish out there seasons strong.

Wisconsin Gun Season 2022. 🦌💥🟠

It was a very successful gun season for the Robillard’s this year. We ended up with 4 bucks hanging (one was missing from the pole).

Super proud to dawn the Robillard last name and keep carrying on the traditions started way before my time. Gun season is truly a family holiday for us here. The meat pile is definitely saggin this year. Cant wait to do it all again next year!

Congrats to everyone who was able to pick up a rifle this year and hit the woods. There’s no better feeling than the feeling you get while hunting with friends and family.

This one is a little overdue.. BBD 🦌💥

I was able to harvest this mature 12pointer last Sunday on the second day of gun season in Wisconsin. This is a buck we’ve had two consecutive years of history with and finally were able to close the chapter on last Sunday. He came in chasing a doe and I was able to stop him and get a shot at him at about 120 yards out of The Tower.

It’s been one hell of a season for us here at Robillard Ranch. Couldn’t be more blessed with putting down numerous mature whitetails this season. We plan on still sitting from now until the end of season. Good luck to those still staying after it and trying to fill their tag.

SLED IS DEAD. 💥💥

The story of Sled began last fall when we started getting, what we estimated at the time, to be a 2 1/2 year old 8 pointer. He stuck around all season and we even had numerous encounters with him. One specific encounter was on the Monday of gun season in 2021. Dad and I had him at 75 yards (last picture). Dad held off that day and man did it end up paying off. Later that spring I ended up finding both sheds off of him. The story was only getting better and better.

Sled ended up putting on much more tine length and mass in 2022 we had several different encounters with him during the bow season but ended up coming short. Then on the first day of gun season Blake and I were lucky enough to encounter Sled one last time. He can out of the woods and Blake was able to make a great shot at 170 yards out of The Tower and he didn’t run 75 yards and died in the field!

I couldn’t be more proud of the boys and the hard work we put in year round paying off. Also, thanks to Grandpa teaching us the ways of the outdoors and introducing us to the sport. Finally, congrats to Blake this one was very much deserved my brother!

Hopefully it’s not too much longer before we can let the Savage axis 270 bark. Ever since I made the switch from the .243 caliber to the .270 caliber the results have been pretty amazing. The nock down power of this combination of gun and ammo has proven to me that it works and it’s deadly for several years now. As long as keeps making them I’ll keep shooting them.

First big buck hits the ground here at the home farm in Wisconsin! 🦌🏹

Cam was able to get it done on this mature Wisconsin buck Saturday evening. It’s been a number of years since Cam has killed on the home farm. A tremendous amount of time and energy goes into chasing these big white tails and Cam works his butt off. This one is well deserved! Congrats Cam!

Long time hunter and good friend Owen Deprez was able to harvest this mature 9 point last Saturday. This is Owen’s first bow buck and biggest buck to date. Congrats and I can’t wait to celebrate more this upcoming weekend!

Hard to put into words what happened this weekend, All in all the trip to Missouri was full of a lot of stories.

I was able to harvest this mature 8 pointer Saturday night right before dark. The views during this trip were like nothing I had ever experienced before. Definitely a trip I’ll remember for a long long time.

Thanks to everyone who made this trip possible!

November is officially here..

Deer movement has been increasing everyday even with the high temps we have been experiencing recently.

One of my favorite hunting setups during the rut is fence gaps. Fence gaps help funnel deer movement right past my stand well within bow range.

On Tuesday, I had a nice young 9 point buck walk right through this particular fence gap only 25 yards away. I plan on hunting this gap many more times before the year is over.

Let us know what your favorite set up is during this time of year!

‘me looking at my phone when I get the text that there is a big buck on the cameras’

These next few weeks are going to be magical. Hunting during cold fronts, high pressure days, and during the light of the moon phase will only increase your chances to harvest a mature whitetail. Good luck and stay safe!

Also tag for a chance to be featured on our story.
