I didn't finish any projects this week, so have a throwback of me cracking myself up while taking photos
It has been CHILLY the last few mornings here in central VA. It's what we like to call False Fall and it happens every August. But it makes me glad for wraps and shawls as I anticipate real fall mornings!
This is the OG most popular kit on the website. Perfect for beginners. Make your own cozy, chunky scarf! There are step by step videos on my website (available for everyone, no purchase necessary), and the kit comes with everything you need!

Time to make my weekly knitting list!
and I finished this shawl! I really used the rainy days this week to my advantage. I'm so happy with how it turned out!
Knitting kits come with everything you need to knit one of my patterns - knitting needles, yarn (your color choice), any needed tools, a project bag. And the pattern, of course!
This kit pictured is for my chunky infinity scarf.
This shawl is so light but it is gonna be COZY. Like wearing a cloud.
Monday's list should definitely be knitting and not meetings or chores.
It's August, which means almost Halloween! I'm using my fave Rainbow straight needles and finally knitting this yarn I've had wound up in my stash for way too long. The pattern is my own skinny scarf pattern.
I know it is but ya'll, it's been a week. I'm honestly amazed I got this washcloth done. Cheers to the weekend and hopefully more
Yea, I know it is hot as balls outside, but if you are looking ahead to fall, go ahead and crank up that ac and starting knitting some hats.
Do you block your projects after you finish knitting? I'm not gonna lie, most of my blocking consists of me just aggressively shaking out the project 😂
Which is your favorite, left or right?
I mean, I'm knitting it. And definitely not weaving it, like the picture shows. 😅
It's a rainy day here in central VA. The perfect day to go to a local brewery to hang with friends and knit a little.
This is definitely a Monday where Sheep Happened. Nothing some coffee and knitting couldn't help though.
It ended up being too cludy to see the sun rise, but I still enjoyed some early morning knitting by the ocean.
It's the so you know I'm near water and knitting something red, white, and blue. It's all about traditions. First up are a couple of washcloths, but I also have a really pretty wool to knit a shawl with later.
Don't mind me over here, trying to figure out what yarn I'm taking with me on vacation. This is pared down, but I think still more than I need for 5 days at the beach 😬
I don't think I've ever NOT frogged on a new pattern. It's gotta look like it does in my head when I'm finished!
It's and I'm pretty excited about all the shawls I've been working on. I love this color. I'm definitely in my blue/green era!
Headed to the beach and need a tote? Knit your own! This pattern knits up super quick and you'll have the perfect bag for your summer trips in no time.
I've really been enjoying these knit from the bottom up shawls recently. Maybe too much - I haven't had this many projects on needles at the same time in a long time!

have you heard people talking about gauge and have no idea what is going on? While in other parts of the world, gauge can simply refer to what we in the US call tension, it can also be a specific number of rows and stitches to equal a set area (usually 4 inches).
Doing a gauge swatch can help you determine if you need to adjust a pattern based on your yarn, needles, or tension.
Don't ask me how many times I've done a gauge swatch 😅
The perfect tote to carry all of your stitching supplies!
I mean, this box of yarn isn't that full...
If you count my entire house as the box.
Washcloths are my ultimate travel project. They take up almost no space and are easy to pick up and put down. So it should be no surprise I almost always have one on the needles. Figured this one deserved to be part of
FYI, I have kits and patterns for these on my website.
Oh man, remember IGTV? Don't worry, if you are trying to make your own yarn tassels, I have instructions and video over on my blog!
Let's go yarn shopping!
Looks like I did end up participating in just at some local breweries
