Monaghan Cavan League

The MCL are currently accepting Applications from Clubs wishing to participate in the 2024/25 season. (Link for application form: monaghancavanleague.leaguerepublic.com/documents.html).

All Applications forms must be sent in by Monday the 29th at 2pm. Any club wishing to enter multiple teams must fill out a separate application form.

*Late applications will result in a fine as per league rules

With attention now turning towards the 2024/25 MCL season, the MCL will be aiming to run 4 leagues. We are delighted to be able to add the MCL u17 League to our u19 League, First Division and Premier Division. Any clubs interested in participating in any our leagues please contact the MCL at [email protected].

Thursday marks the beginning of Referee Month. As part of Referee Month, the FAI are holding free in-person courses throughout Ireland including Monaghan on the 6th of July. Sign up today on www.becomearef.ie.

As we all know, there is a shortage of referees.
The Football Association of Ireland is thrilled to announce the launch of Referee Month, set to take place throughout July 2024. In celebration of the essential role referees play in sports, the FAI is offering free in-person referee beginner courses in every region across the country. This initiative follows on from last years inaugural ‘Referee Week’ which saw over 250 new referees trained.
Referee Month will provide aspiring referees with the knowledge and skills needed to be able to referee grassroots football matches safely and effectively.

The Monaghan Cavan league would like to offer our Condolences to the Family of the late Dessie Kelly Secretary of the Ulster Football Association who has Sadly passed away .

We as a committee & league worked with Dessie for many of years , He will be sadly missed by all 😢

The Monaghan Cavan League are hoping to begin an U17s & U19s Boys & Girls league and the MCL Committee are seeking expressions of interest from clubs .
