I wrote this song several years ago during a season of loss and grief. In fact, it’s one of the first songs I’ve ever written.
While the holiday season is known for being the most wonderful time of the year, for many who are grieving the loss of a loved one, the holidays can be lonely and painful and leave us missing people that we used to spend it with.
Whether this will be your first Christmas without your loved one, or they passed away some years ago, I pray that this song brings you a little bit of comfort and peace this holiday season.

”He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”Revelation 21:4
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. The peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27

JoyAnna McDonald is a singer-songwriter from a small town outside of Athens, Georgia. At the age of 13, JoyAnna wrote her very first song after the death of her grandfather. After the moving performance of this song at his funeral, she knew that writing and performing songs is what God called her to do.
In the fall of 2020, JoyAnna moved to the Nashville area to pursue a degree in Music Business at Middle Tennessee State University, and to fulfill her dream of becoming an artist. Blended with her faith and family upbringing, JoyAnnas originals come straight from the heart. With a visible hunger for God, JoyAnna seeks to combine her love of country music with her love for Christ and write songs that will glorify God.
Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come."
Revelation 4:8
Happy Easter!!
