Hi everyone! I know I haven't post anything for a very long time. Well in this time of the virus it is even more important to know what to do in an emergency situation even before you can get your pet to the vet. Unfortunately I am writing this from a personal experience from the other day in my home. This will probably take a few posts because i really want to share a few different things on the topic and what better time to get it to you when you have time to prepare for the future. Ok it seems that more and more people are looking for ways to help their pets besides through emergency vet visits . I have a lot of people who ask me what they can do through personal messenger on this page, on my regular page and out in the community. First thing i say to everyone, "I am not a vet and honestly never want to be one!" I have a great vet that i take my dogs too that works with me and the dogs individually in general. He specializes in traditional Chinese veterinary medicine as well as acupuncture. He does not try to push things on me. His main interest is in giving pets the best quality of life they can have in the atmospheres they live in. Please feel free to ask me questions on this page when you have them. I do have certifications and I am currently working on more to help go beyond the vet. My number one piece of advice to all pet owners is be proactive not reactive. Always pay attention to how your pet is acting from the day you get them and on so when something is off you can nick it in the bud before you have to be reactive. A pet is a family member not a piece of property and they deserve the best safest life we can give them every day!

Well I know it has been a longtime since I have posted on here but it is definitely time to get back to it. We have not stopped providing people answers and suggestions with the help of vets , just took a breather on this page for a little while until i found something to help not only my eye site but also our dog lexis too. Oh wow has it really been this long since I've written something on this page. As always research and trial and error have taken over the months that seem to have just flown by. It is already March as I am marching into a new realm of natural healthcare products and ways. I have taken on a new business affiliate role in a business that cares about pets and wellness as much as I do. This of course is not taking over my other adventures in anyway. As our pets age along side us we have to work a little harder and smarter to find the products to help us along the way. Without our/their health we have very little to help us through each day. Stay tuned for some new research and products that I have found to be successful in this in many ways.
There are so many things we can do for our pets in the winter to prevent those extra unwanted visits to the vet. First off , we dress for the weather outside so an indoor dog should definitely be dressed the same. Their skin is not as thick as outside dogs and thus they more sensitive to the elements. When a dog goes for walk in the winter their feet are in contact with the salt we use to keep them and us safe from falls. Their feet should be washed with a warm washcloth to clean, soften and prevent stomach issues when they lick them. Just as pur lips and noses are easily wind burnt and in danger of frost bite so are theirs. A little bit of coconut oil or vitamin E oil will help prevent this. Then as cold and flu season is amongst us a little bit of honey water at night and Estra C with immunity and vitamin D in the morning works wonders in keeping all happy and healthy. Oh and as much sunshine as possible is a very important key just as it is for you and me.

As promised here is just one of the homemade toothpaste for your pets .
My recipe consists of 4 all natural ingredients that most people have in their homes or can buy from the local grocery store.
1. some flavor of bouillon ( my dogs like chicken ) - a pinch of powder
2.baking soda - a dash
3. turmeric - a dash
4. coconut oil - 3 teaspoons
The amount of each product you use depends on either how many pets you have and how large they are. I have the two small dogs so i make small batches a little for a week at a time. I also do not generally use the bouillon as my dogs love the taste of the coconut oil and the turmeric.
It is very important to wipe your pets teeth off once they are brushed in a circular motion just as you would your own or your child's as turmeric will stain.
Please remember my recipe is for two dogs under 25lbs but it is a good place to start to see if your dog will like it. So try it out and let me know what you think.
