Hi everyone!

Thank you for stopping by my page! My name is Kayla and I am a semi-self-taught baker/ cake decorator in the GTA. I first started baking with my grandma when I was little and had the opportunity to observe and learn a lot from her. She was a professional cook in Toronto after immigrating to Canada from Portugal, and still is the best cook and baker I know. Baking both with her and on my own became a hobby of mine. As a full-time MSc student, baking remains a fun hobby, but also something I hope to improve upon in my (sometimes limited) free time. I recently started the instagram account @cakewithkayla to catalog my creative cake design attempts, and have since had the opportunity to make cakes for different people and various occasions in my area.
