A rat nest in an electrical sub-panel. Fire Hazard! Blocking and sealing holes and gaps will help prevent this from happening.

Here is a flex gas line passing through the sheet metal case on a furnace (pictures 1 & 2). Over time the vibration of the unit can cause a gas leak (hole) in the flex line from rubbing on the case. The gas line should be hard piped to the exterior of the case, then the flex line can be connected on the outside of the unit to prevent damage/leaks (picture 3).

An improper wall furnace vent on the roof. This can cause Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in a house. Stay Safe!

Most people just don't know!
Here is a pet door installed on the garage door to the living space. This is a Fire Rated Door that helps to slow a fire in the Garage from spreading into the home. As you may or may not know a fire starting in the garage is one of the most common due to storage of flammable materials. The pet door is made of plastic and will allow the fire to spread into the home in just seconds. Not a good idea and the door should be replaced.

Here we have an extension cord wired into an electrical sub-panel. Tip of the day " Hire a Licensed, Certified, Professional !!"

Here is an example of a FIRE HAZARD in an attic. Exposed wire splices. The junction box is right there! I see this more than you might believe.

HVAC Ductwork disconnected in the attic. That is why that one room in the house is always so hot!

See this all the time. Improper drain. Just because they sell it at the hardware store doesn't make it correct!
