Thanks to Katie Kakes, I've had the chance to make cakes I couldn't have even imagined this time 4 years ago when I first started exploring Cake Design. At first a simple hobby, Katie Kakes grew as friends and family began asking to order cakes. Now Katie Kakes is a fully functional custom cakery for events ranging from weddings to birthdays and much more.

“O the Owl” from Daniel Tiger was requested by a very special little guy in my life! We baked the sheet cakes together on Tuesday and I polished off the decorating solo by 1am yesterday. I love that kid; it’s the only possible explanation.
He also asked for the flavor “blue” so we did...
Fresh blueberry lemon cake with a blueberry reduction, cream cheese frosting, white chocolate accents, vanilla buttercream balloons and twizzler cherry string! Woo, that was a mouth full... ha!
