We made blow painted monsters earlier in the week!

Halloween 🎃 in PreK! We’ve been waiting so long for today and we had the BEST time!! Thanks to the mamas and dad who helped today!

Next week, White Rock will participate in Red Ribbon Week. This is a Nationally recognized week to focus our efforts on keeping our youth drug-free and protecting our students from the effects of drugs. Below are the dress-up days we will have to show our participation in this important event! The best-dressed student in each class will get a prize so be creative.

Earlier this week we practiced building and writing L and today we played with vinegar and baking soda - one of my favorites!

Today we explored pumpkins and learned about the skin, ribs, stem, seeds, & strands. Most of us felt the inside of the pumpkin. Enjoy the reactions!

Family projects are starting to come in! So far we have a turtle, t-Rex, & dog. When you finish yours, send it in and we’ll add it to the display, too!

You asked and we are delivering! We are doing an online Christmas auction December 3rd - 8th! 🎄🎅🏻🦌 More details to come closer to time!

Here is the SignUp Genius for our class Halloween party. For the party we will be playing some Halloween-themed learning games, painting mini pumpkins, enjoying snacks, reading a book and making a craft, making witch's potions, and watching a short movie. Order up! The Eat N Play restaurant is open for business in PreK! The kiddos had so much fun playing restaurant this week! It has provided lots of practice in sharing, waiting, taking turns, pretend & cooperative play, plus some math & literacy sneaking in. You can also see a peek at our new fall centers and a couple of fun photos from the week.

Today we learned about the secret shape inside of apples and then used apples to paint

The afternoon class got to pick apples yesterday 🍏🍎

We kicked off our apples unit today! 🍎 🍏
The morning class picked apples off the tree. We didn’t have time in the afternoon class because they got to see the illusionist who visited our school.

On Friday, Sept. 27th, we are participating in Rock Your School. Our school theme is community helpers and in Pre-K that will be the last day of our apples learning theme. We are going to combine the 2 and become bakers who bake apple pies! The goal is to transform our classroom space to look more like a bakery. I'm going to post a few things that would help with that in the comments. If you would like to provide an item, we would GREATLY appreciate it! Please send everything in no later than the 26th so I can have everything prepped and ready to go. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm excited about participating in this super fun day!
