Medvejie Solstice Run celebrates summer solstice by getting outside, exercising & being with your fa Mark your calendars and ratchet up those miles!
The Medvejie Solstice Run is scheduled for June 18, 2022 at 9 AM, COVID numbers willing. Please join us for the 16th running of this Sitka High School Track & Field and Cross Country Teams program fundraiser. The 3 distance events will begin and end at Herring Cove, adjacent to the Beaver Lake Trailhead parking lot at the end of Sawmill Creek Road. All races will head out toward Medvejie Hatchery

Our Story
On June 20th 2020 @ 9am the 15th running of the Medvejie/Solstice Races will begin. The 3 distance events will start and end at Herring Cove adjacent to the Beaver Lake parking lot at the end of Sawmill Creek Road. All races will head towards Medvejie Hatchery and back. The 1/2 marathon will turn around at the Green Lake Power House and the 10K will turn around near the Medvejie Hatchery. Also the 5K will turn around about half way out to the hatchery.
It is a hilly course, please train accordingly. Registration fees are as follows: $20 for the 5K, $30 for the 10K and $40 for the 1/2 marathon. A non cotton T-shirt is included for the first 75 entrants. Pre-registration is Friday June 19th 2020 from 4-7:00 pm at the Sitka High School Commons. Race day registration starts at 8:15 am at Herring Cove.Volunteers are needed. For more information call Murray @ 738 1102 or Carolyn @ 738 0180
