Our daily habits, positive or negative, will eventually lead to good or bad consequences. What daily habit can you start today that would change your life in a positive way months or years from now?
Planning that perfect summer vacation takes effort. So does planning for the lifestyle you dream of. Why not do both!
Pursuing our goals often means taking risks, but don’t underestimate the risk we take by doing nothing at all.
While success can be defined as a favorable outcome, most often we don't have control over outcomes. We DO have control of our actions and our habits. So we must choose the actions and habits that have the most likelihood of achieving the outcomes we want.
There are probably several reasons Steve Jobs wore the same outfit every day. Likely to top that list is having one less decision to make. Decisions to be made on trivial things equate to distractions and wear down our ability to focus on the more impactful decisions. One thing that can help is to write down and review all the decisions you had to make today. Which ones slowed you down? Which were unnecessary or didn't add value?
Small changes = changes! We're more likely to stick with positive, incremental change than when we try to overhaul ourselves overnight.
