Our first support milestone is 500 followers. Mission Statement:
To develop the concept for a new online two way communication platform between voters and their elected officials. To build enough support from voters to have law makers pass legislation that creates, funds, supports, monitors and maintains this new platform as an official application of the US government. To provide a means for any public voice to be heard. To provide information to elected officials so they can more accurately gauge the concerns of the voters they represent. Problem Statement:
Low voter trust in the political process, for candidates and for elected officials. Low levels of engagement by voters who feel disenfranchised. Low voter confidence that their concerns can be heard or that they can make a difference. Quiet stable common sense voices lost in the growing din of outraged voices. High levels of fear, misinformation and manipulations used in the election process to sway voters. Rising levels of tensions that inhibit the productive ability to discuss, debate and disagree regarding the approach toward tough issues. The significant power struggle between two major parties and extreme ideologies have such influence that ideas and participation apart from those parties is limited. A growing perception that our government is not capable of working together towards common long term goals for meaningful change.
