Have a leaking faucet? Be sure to repair it as soon as possible! Water loss from leaks can waste gallons of water in a very short period of time.
PEX pipe is cross-linked polyethylene tubing. It’s resistant to the effects of hot and cold water and hot and cold external temperatures. It also resists chemicals and corrosion, but may degrade in sunlight, so it’s best-suited to indoor or underground installations.
Banging or vibrating of water lines when the water is turned on is usually caused by air in the pipes. While it is more annoying than damaging in the short run, over time, it can cause expensive problems. Have the lines bled of air at your earliest convenience.
Did you know that brass plumbing pipes are considered ideal for large distribution systems, such as pump fittings, water tanks, and wells? Brass piping is extremely rust-resistant and tends to last longer than any other plumbing material.
Can you guess what modern technology is used to find underground plumbing leaks quickly? If you guessed radar, you're right. Small video cameras can also be used to locate problems without disturbing the landscape.
When your business uses compressed air regularly, it makes sense to install these lines directly into your building. If you aren’t sure how to handle this safely on your own, we’re always happy to lend a hand with all your plumbing installation needs.
One of the key parts of modern plumbing systems is the access to the public water main, but the first water main was more concerned with fire than water for your home. After several fires, New York built the first public water main in 1830.
Did you know that the newest PEX piping models feature the tightest bend radius available? This can be a really benefit when it comes to commercial plumbing installations, as the install process tends to go much more quickly with fewer fittings.
Do not pour chemical cleaners into your septic system. These will kill the useful bacteria in the tank that are necessary to properly break down waste. If you have a clog or other problem, call us for help.
If you want quiet plumbing in your commercial building, choose PEX pipe. Pressure and temperature changes can make copper pipes clang or chatter. PEX pipe is flexible and resilient, with a smooth inner surface, so it delivers water without the sound effects.
Were you aware that water pressure in your home above 60 pounds per square inch could be harmful to your plumbing system? It will also cause excessive water usage. You may want to consider installing a pressure-reducing valve that will limit the water pressure in your home.
If your plumbing isn’t up to code, it can cost you your business license, even if you had no idea what was wrong. Every installation a commercial plumber does is up to code, so you will never have to worry about them costing you your license.
It’s important to remember that you’re never stuck with a particular plumbing layout in your bathroom or kitchen. While some plumbing renovations may be more involved than others, we can usually still make it happen.
So what are threaded pipes when it comes to plumbing systems? These are metal pipes with a tapered “female” iron pipe thread. They can be connected to just about any type of plumbing pipe by using adapters that screw in and provide the correct fitting.
Most everywhere in the world uses some type of metal to make their pipes, but other materials were once used to make pipes. Believe it or not, hollowed tree logs were used in Boston for plumbing in the 1800s.
Advances in plumbing-related fixtures and systems have led to many environmentally friendly products specifically for commercial buildings. Among these are tankless water heaters, automatic shut-off water faucets, low-flow toilets, and waterless urinals, all of which can reduce costs and ecological impact.
It’s hard enough to get out of bed in the morning for most of us. If your shower isn't pumping the hot water to get you awake in the morning, let us help.
Unfortunately, plumbing work for commercial buildings can often be more costly than it is for residential structures. Rest assured that we’ll do everything possible to help you complete the work you need within your company’s budget.
I’m considering a storage tank water heater because the cost fits my budget. There are other issues to consider, including the fact that a storage tank heater always has 60 to 85 gallons of water inside. At some point, the heater will break and that water will flood the room in your home where it is located. Tankless water heaters cost more initially, but are less expensive to operate and aren’t filled with water.
If you’ve ever walked into the company bathroom and discovered the faucet still running or dripping, you already know that not everyone pays attention to the amount of water they use. Not only will installing new bathroom fixtures make things look nicer, but they could also help cut down on your corporate water bill.
A steady drip or leak may seem like it’s not wasting a lot of water, but it can certainly add up before you can realize it. While you’re waiting for a repair, it’s a good idea to shut off the water valve connected to the leak to prevent any excessive water waste.
In addition to being quick to install and easy to connect, PEX pipe is quiet. Copper pipes may clang or chatter under pressure or temperature changes. PEX pipe is flexible and resilient with a smooth inner surface, so it delivers water without the sound effects.

Don't believe the myth that, if you don't live in a sunny climate, there's no savings available with a solar water heater. In fact, anyone in the U.S. can save at least 50 percent on their hot water heating bills with a solar water heater. However, it is true that, in sunnier climates, you can save more - as much as 90 percent, according to industry estimates.
Replaced a leaky toilet for the customer. The wax ring was damaged and upon removing it discovered the water had leaked into the fl**ge area. Once the fl**ge area was repaired, a new wax ring was installed, new bolts and new water shut off, new supply line, and then the new toilet was installed.
It’s important to remember that building codes can change significantly over time. If you’ve recently purchased an older building to use for your business, you may want to have us install new plumbing equipment to ensure you don’t end up with hefty fines.
