NASA NorCal 2016 season is just around the corner! Unfortunately we won't be able to make it to the season opener because of some schedule conflict, but we are very much looking forward to racing our little, embattled se30! :)

At Sunday (Championship) race at MRLS during NASA Western States Championship. In 10th in this picture, expertly driven by Tony. Not long after this picture was taken, Tony made a pass for 9th, and shortly after that our transmission blew... :(

Blue Skies Racing, together with EDGE Motorworks Mountain View, are competing in NASA West Coast Championships at the beautiful, world-famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA, this weekend. Spectators are FREE throughout the event (7/31-8/2), so make sure to stop by and check out some good driving and pretty fierce competition. There is also a free BBQ on Saturday, courtesy of NASA NorCal.

Sorted out the "down on power" issue that had crippled us on Sunday (6/21) at Searspoint - the culprit was a corroded ignition wire on #6. Getting ready for NASA West Coast Championships!

Spece30: started all the way in the back (29th) to finish 15th :)
GTS1: started from the back (5th) and...won! :)

Sat: qualified 16th, had a pretty good start and got into 12th by T4 but gave up one position to Larry M in T7. Finished 13th.
Sun: Tony had a pretty good and intense race with the "usual suspects", ultimately finishing 8th. Videos to follow!

Another awesome weekend racing with NASA NorCal at Race Sonoma. First Top 10 finish of the year in a pretty tough 25-car se30 field. Very special "THANK YOU" to EDGE Motorworks Mountain View and EDGE Motorworks extended family - can't fathom going to a track without you, guys! :)

Saturday se30 race at Thunderhill 5 miles course (aka Thunderschleife). Qualified in P9, and got into P7 by T2 but got "greedy" a couple of laps later with an attempted pass in T14/15. The race was red-flagged 1.5 laps later because of multiple off-track excursions caused by blown motor in Group A.

Thunderhill 5mi August 30 front Started the race in P9; got to P7 by exit of T2 on the first lap. Spun in T14/15 a couple of laps later while trying to pass Chris W. on the outside.

Did a personal best of 2:00.4 at Sonoma last weekend, and two Top 15 finishes, including starting from the back on Saturday. Thank you, EDGE Motorworks, for all the help and support! Congrats to Nick P. for turning 1:59.7 lap and climbing into Top 10 before being punted from there literally, and unceremoniously.

The kit, shipped directly from Momo USA, showed up only a couple of weeks after it was supposed. Better late than never, Momo USA! Thanks for throwing in ADC stickers, and the 2014 racing collection catalogue - makes for an OK bathroom reading, I guess. Not thanks for not including HW, installation instructions, warranty info, and any of that benign crap. Not that I could not figure out how to install and run it, but it would've been nice to know your take on things, especially since you allude to them on the sticker.

Hmm, Porterfield box inside out... I wonder what's inside? ;)
