Be A Good Speech Model includes 4 handouts. They can be helpful for parents and staff. I have tweaked these handouts over the years. Educating staff and parents is half the road to success and the other half is up to the child. I have spent 46 years of my career in early intervention ages birth to 5 and excited to share these handouts. https://bit.ly/3uXXvqm # speechtherapy
Puppy Color & Spatial Concepts is an adorable Pet theme - work on colors, spatial concepts (print the book) and following directions. Who knew this would be such a hit?? Just in case you can't tell - he is carrying the eggs on a big spoon! If I had 10 more eggs he
would have kept carrying eggs to the kitchen without dropping!
He did drop a few but that's the fun on the game! Pictures with palatal words were hidden in the eggs. He got to open them in the kitchen. He nailed the word kitchen today! Yay! Tons of practice using his words in a phrase! I used mini artic pics from a TPT I created... 348 lingual mini artic pics.
Health is Wealth!

It's Women's History month! I am celebrating 2 women authors who have written adorable predictable books....Lucille Colandro, author of the ridiculously silly Old Lady books and Laura Numeroff along with her illustrator Felicia Bond ((I cherish my signed and never-used canvas bag- I should frame it!). Their books have inspired me to create a loaf of book companions and crafts! Celebrate yourself too! You are the author of your life! Any of these Boom activities can be found on Boom Learning or TPT. PowerPoint and craft activities are on TPT. Check out my Previews! Go to my smart bio link under my profile pic. Then click on free resources to get these posters. Click on image of poster for links. I'm booking a pedicure to celebrate myself this week! How will you celebrate??
Granny Eats A Frog is an adorable SPRING book companion for The Old Lady Who Swallowed A Frog by Lucille Colandro. Enjoy the PROPS to use while telling the story, pics for sequencing the story and many other fun activities and crafts! https://bit.ly/3IwafI0

This informal artic screener can be displayed in PowerPoint/ Google Slides in Google Drive. It is a valuable tool for new students and for progress monitoring. Have student answer the question “What’s that?” or “What is happening?” If student doesn’t know, give the answer and ask question again. If student still doesn’t respond accept imitated response and mark it as imitated. The record sheet assesses phonological processes (see link for list of processes on Slide 3), vowels and articulation organized by placement and manner. Some sounds may fit into more than one section. # speechtherapy
Gator Golf is a fun "ball" game which can be incorporated into any speech session! It is battery free! It comes with 4 colored balls and a Pelican golf club. Lift open gator's mouth. Roll the ball into gator's mouth and watch the ball pop up! Can you catch it? Personally I found it easier to play on the table by rolling the ball or gently hitting with the club. Gator has a HUGE TONGUE so I made sound labels and placed them in the proper position. I also added blutack to the back of the tongue because it kept falling off. Here are some fun ideas for Gator Golf! (PS. I got this on sale for $10 - wait for a sale!)
1. This is a fun movement activity - Some core words can include SHOOT, ROLL IT, I GO, I GOT IT, MY TURN, YOUR TURN, CATCH, POP UP, HIT THE BALL, MISSED, SCORE,
2. Review Knowledge of Performance - showing childing where sound is made in their mouth and how to make the sound - having sound listed on tongue is helpful.
3. Place pics or words where sound is made on tongue. Child says 3 target words then gets to play golf. Child can collect all 4 balls
4. Count gator's teeth! Counting is an awesome motor sequencing activity
5. Use gator for language skills too, e.g. categories, sentence building
Seasonal Clothing Boom Cards is a perfect theme for this time of year. Clothing is one of the first categories I target in speech and pair with body parts-weather https://bit.ly/49AM337 # speechtherapy

Here’s the list:
The concept is to make yourself known a little more in this amazing community! I hope you have a great evening and thank you for taking part in this follow loop!
P/S: Most of us have received around 250 followers in 3 days. 😊
I HAVE BEEN AN SLP FOR 47 YEARS SOOOO EXPERIENCE REALLY IS INVALUABLE!! I stay abreast of all the current speech research and approaches on ASHA Learning Pass.....but.....I STILL RELY ON MY EXPERIENCE! A technique is only as good as the therapist and the child you are treating. I go a little overboard with my DIVERGENT THINKING - Chat GPT says it's a cognitive process which generates multiple solutions - associated with the ability to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! My first 3 sessions are play and establishing rapport with the child (while I take good notes.) I check for ability to imitate phrases and /or sounds. I have created so many checklists! I've used the Bloom & Lahey Model for years! I love my PROMPT Training. I've learned the importance of the LIPS, JAW, TONGUE & VOWELS. I also teach Knowledge of Performance and Knowledge of Results (modified with a positive twist & self-awareness). I love DTTC Hierarchy which I have used before I learned about DTTC, and I watched many hours of webinars! I've created my own Exclamations & Apraxia Kits (CV,VC,CVCV,CVC plus meaningful Core words) and developed SEMANTIC SYMBOLS...strictly from experience working with children exhibiting motor speech disorders and phonological processes! This is just the tip of the iceberg. It's ok if a technique doesn't work either - I just try it again the next time and have another idea in my back pocket just in case! The key component though is the child - establishing trust, listening, having fun (especially with books, toys, games & movement) and seeing progress! Speaking from experience, LOL, life is too short SO ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN! Please DM me anytime - I am happy to share FREE references, e.g Sharynne McLeod's list of 20 speech interventions with links or FREE references on my website at https://bit.ly/49XWaPj HOW MANY DIVERGENT THINKERS ARE OUT THERE??
