Beyond her stunning talent as an actress, she had a golden heart and used her star-power to speak loudly for those without a voice. Betty was lovingly known as an Animal Welfare Advocate. Her work with the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, ASPCA, and other welfare groups helped to pioneer care and education concerning the needs of the helpless: wild or domestic. For five decades she devoted her wealth and soul to ending needless suffering of the furry and feathered kind. To celebrate her legacy, we hope you will donate to an animal rescue or advocacy group in need on what would have been her 100th birthday; January 17th. While we would love your donation to Hero Barn, we want to hear about the good you are doing for our animal friends in her name.
