Annual Highland Ball, on the first Saturday in December. Held in the stunning hall of Blair Castle in Perthshire Scotland. Smart but relaxed.
YMCA Tayside are delighted to be chosen as the nominated charity for this years Highland Ball .YMCA Tayside has worked with young people and local communities since 1995 including young people from all over Highland Perthshire. In 2023 they worked with over 800 young people many of whom are disadvantaged through low income, homelessness and social Isolation.

Today some of the Aberfeldy Highland Ball Committee Members presented Tayside Mountain Rescue Team with a cheque for £4,731 at Glen Lyon Coffee Aberfeldy. This was the sum raised from the fantastic 2023 Highland Ball held on Saturday 2nd December at Blair Castle.
Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who live in the operational area. It is entirely funded by contributions and fundraising. Team Members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.
They don’t get paid to do this job – They do it because they choose to.
But the team can’t do it without the tools and equipment needed to save lives
The money raised at the Aberfeldy Highland Ball is being used to help purchase a new off road vehicle to allow the team to get to where they need to quicker helping save lives.
A big shout out to all those who attended the ball and all those who didn’t but gave generous donations to this worthy cause and also Ballintaggart for the catering.

Dance practice sessions are held in Aberfeldy Town hall on 1st 8th 15th and 22nd November and at Ailean Craggan Hotel on the 19th and 26th November.
Not long now till the ballroom come to life with the skirl of the pipes.
The final prize in this years raffle at Aberfeldy Highland Ball on Saturday 2nd December is a short break for two in a luxury holiday cottage in Glenlyon. The raffle raises money for Tayside Mountain Rescue Team. Invites for the ball are being sent out this week.

The Dementia-Friendly Aberfeldy Collaborative (DFAC) is a group of people who recognise the potential benefits of a dementia-friendly community, who have a number of valuable skills, and the professional and personal experience, to help take Aberfeldy forward on its journey towards achieving dementia-friendly status.
Janette Barrie, a volunteer with DFAC said, we are completely overwhelmed by the generosity of those who attended the Aberfeldy Highland ball and would like to thank everyone who kindly donated and purchased raffle tickets on the evening.
