Exciting News!!! 🥹🤩😍

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the location of the Tacloban City Philippines Temple.

This house of the Lord will be built on a 6.99-acre site located at Tacloban Bypass Road Brgy. Utap-Caibaan, Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines. Plans call for a two-story temple of approximately 21,407 square feet. Tacloban is located on Leyte Island in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints differ from meetinghouses or chapels, where members meet for Sunday worship services. Each temple is considered a “house of the Lord,” where Jesus Christ’s teachings are reaffirmed through baptism and other ordinances that unite families for eternity.

In the temple, Church members learn more about the purpose of life and make covenants to follow Jesus Christ and serve others.

Look: The Relief Society of Sogod Philippines District celebrates the 182nd Relief Society Anniversary held in Maasin District Center.

Part 1 of the program consist of trainings and product presentations of every branches namely, Hilongos, Bato, Maasin, Macrohon, Malitbog, Bontoc, Sogod, and Libagon.

President Russell M. Nelson and the Relief Society General Presidency — President Camille N. Johnson, Sister J. Anette Dennis, and Sister Kristin M. Yee — spoke to women during a worldwide Relief Society devotional last Sunday, March 17, 2024.

The devotional commemorated the purpose and founding of the Relief Society, which took place on March 17, 1842.

All members of the Relief Society and young women turning 18 in 2024 were invited to participate.

Following the devotional messages, Relief Societies all over the world held local testimony meetings where sisters shared their faith in Jesus Christ.
