UGMAs and UTMAs take the form of a trust. Your child can use the UGMA or UTMA funds to pay for college; however, once that age is reached, your child can also use the money to pay for anything else. Using a trust involves a complex set of tax rules and regulations. Before moving forward with a trust, consider working with a professional who is familiar with the rules and regulations.
Coverdell ESAs can be used for K-12 expenses in addition to higher education costs. Contributions may be made until the account beneficiary turns 18. The money must be withdrawn when the beneficiary turns 30, or taxes and penalties may occur.

Wealth by Design
Almost every successful women begins with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present, and that they have the power to make it so. Somewhere between the power moves to progress and family dynamics, I have found many women put off the importance of dealing with their money. Telling themselves “I will deal with it tomorrow” or sometimes just not knowing which direction to take. Additionally, women executives and business owners are so busy in their professional and personal lives that they sometimes aren’t optimizing their wealth they way they’d like to. This unintentional procrastination normally can results to a mindset of shame or guilt and depression about the their money situation, but remember TIME is MONEY and as I stated in the beginning of this story.....You already BELIEVE the future will be better and YOU do have the power to make it so. So get help and get started now.
These powerful beautiful women are typically my best clients. You see I work with busy women executives, in particular women in education, ministries and small business owners who have this challenge. I help them gain control of their money, systematize financial growth, and help them set and reach personal goals so they can spend more time enjoying life and less time worrying about money. My “contact me” button on my page has the path to start now and it offers a starter money analysis just for the curious without any obligation. Do you happen to know anyone who might be curious about that ?
