International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 2024

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2023-025 states that Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) program is a holistic approach in countering the proliferation of illegal and dangerous drugs. It strengthens supply and demand reduction efforts by galvanizing the support of the community, duty bearers, and other stakeholders in drug-use prevention, law enforcement and rehabilitation.

The presence and prevalence of illegal drugs has been a pressing matter and a constant threat to the safety and wellness of Bacooreños, particularly the youth who are the most susceptible and vulnerable to illegal-drug related activities.

Kaisa ang Sangguniang Barangay sa pamumuno ni Kapitan Edwin Torres at Sangguniang Kabataan led by Chairman Chester Jeo Dela Cruz to raise awareness against stigma and discrimination towards Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDs) and treating them with respect and empathy by offering alternatives to punishment, prioritizing prevention, and serving with compassion.
