We thought we'd tell you a bit about us if you are new here...

Rosemullion Distillery was established in 2018 by the Bradbury family. Rosemullion Distillery is a small distillery, set in the rural Cornish countryside close to the Helford River. We create artisan spirits, from Cornish gin, rum, and whisky with a passionate focus on flavour, quality, and authenticity.

Our multi-award-winning collection of great-tasting Cornish spirits is continually evolving as we lovingly produce all products by hand using our bespoke, hand-built copper still. The spirits are produced in small batches of just 300 bottles at a time, to ensure we remain a true artisan distillery.

We are one of a very small number of distilleries in the area that creates its’ own base spirits from scratch. This gives us more control, and the opportunity to experiment with flavours🙌

Here is an explanation as to how we support Cornish Authenticity:

Rosemullion Distillery is delighted to confirm its continued membership of the Made in Cornwall Scheme. We continue to support and encourage the scheme because it’s obvious to us that an audited group business that projects "Cornish brands" will mutually benefit the broader local business community and locals generally. This highly-desirable regional accreditation aligns with our broader commitment to making and producing world class spirits here in Cornwall, under the careful gaze of HMRC Customs & Excise.

✨ROSEMULLION DISTILLERY PRODUCES ALL SPIRITS IN CORNWALL✨

Rosemullion's USP has always been that we make our own produce, in our own home-grown distillery, near the Helford river in Cornwall, while using as many locally harvested ingredients as possible. We are artisans who pride ourselves on this fact. Understandably sometimes people need proof for a claim like this. The convivial way to do this would be to stand and watch us while we go through the distilling process! But the easier, and more formal way to uphold customer trust in us and our values, is for us to show all our customers most recent Excise return forms (W21, W1, W5) upon request. It doesn’t sound exciting, but it is the 100% confirmation of our ‘Made in Cornwall’ claim.

✨THE INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT THE FORMS✨

Every year we submit these forms to HMRC to document how much cereal, molasses etc we buy to convert into alcohol in our Rosemullion Distillery fermenters, which reflects what we make, store and sell. So, if a distiller can't produce a W21 return - it means they don't make their own spirits. If they can only show you W1 & W5 forms then it means they buy spirit in, duty free, to rework it and sell it on as its ‘own produce’. If they can't produce any of those forms it means they’re buying in duty paid spirits from a third party, branding it and selling on you with a margin. We submit all 3 forms, every year, and are happy to show you upon request. Any other distiller claiming to be 100% home-made, should be happy to do the same.

Please do encourage anyone peddling misrepresentations about the authenticity of Rosemullion Distillery’s Made-in-Cornwall claim to read this. Or better still, ask them to request the forms. We have become internationally noticeable, award-winning artisanal spirit-makers, who make all produce from our home in Cornwall, and this is one of the greatest achievements and joys of our life. We are proud of our family’s Cornish heritage and our 100% committed to artisanal values. As always the real proof is in the tasting.
