Filipinos have been so easily brainwashed by so many false narratives peddled by the enemies of Reform.

1) Lowering the AGE OF CRIMINAL RESPONSIBILITY

False Narrative: "This will allow young kids to be sent to jail together with hardened adult criminals."

The Truth: Many countries around the world have lower minimum ages of Criminal Responsibility but as long as the offenders are not yet 18 years old, they merely receive rehabilitative correction and counselling, NOT PRISON SENTENCES. The UK (except Scotland), Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Switzerland have a minimum age of Criminal Responsibility at 10 years old. Scotland and Indonesia have theirs at 8. Singapore, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Brunei, and Thailand have theirs at 7 years old. It doesn't mean that those kids go to jail. Anyone lower than age 18 gets corrective rehabilitation composed of heavy psychological counselling in order to modify their behavior.

2) REMOVAL OF 60/40 AND OTHER ANTI-FDI RESTRICTIONS

False Narrative: "If you do this, you will cause foreigners to buy up all the land and Filipinos will no longer have land of their own."

The Truth: Removal of 60/40 and other anti-FDI Restrictions has nothing to do with land! It's about corporate and company ownership, besides, Singapore is very open to foreign ownership of corporations, is Singapore owned by foreigners? No! Bringing in foreign direct investments actually made them richer because they created more jobs, allowing more money to circulate among the entire population.

3) FEDERALISM

False Narrative: "Federalism will worsen Warlords and Dynasties..."

The Truth: This is a lie invented and propagated by Winnie and Christian Monsod. Look at many countries with Federalism: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Switzerland... They all have FEDERALISM but are they dominated by Warlords and Dynasties? NO. In fact countries like the USA have Dynasties - the Bushes, the Roosevelts, the Kennedys, the Harrisons, the Adams, and many more but it's not because of Federalism, it's because of the PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM. The Philippines has Dynasties even if it is not Federalism, therefore there is another cause for them: the Presidential System and massive poverty.

4) PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM

False Narrative: Every time the Parliamentary System is suggested, the Yellows and the Leftist-Communists like to keep changing the story by saying that the proposal is for "TERM EXTENSIONS."

The Truth: Many anti-reform Filipinos don't know how to debate and they don't know the facts so they create diversionary lies by peddling and propagating their fear-mongering narrative about TERM EXTENSIONS, when in fact Parliamentary Systems have nothing to do with term extensions and instead, they have terms of office that can never exceed a particular maximum number of years, for instance, 5 year maximum
terms in the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, and many other countries, but these terms can be cut short by Prime Ministers who decide to hold snap elections before the 5 year terms are up. Also while good Prime Ministers can stay on as long as they continue to deliver and do a good job, Prime Ministers who make major mistakes can be easily removed and replaced in the middle of their term.
