I was NOT an easy "sell" 1.5 years ago. We laugh about it now, but I was not going to buy products, and I definitely wasn't going to sign up to do this coach thing.

And then one day, my coach asked me one more time and Andrew Martin encouraged me to just say, "YES!". He said, "What do you have to lose? If you don't like it then you can just stop."

Now here we are today. I didn't know how to run a bootcamp. I didn't know how to post on SM. I didn't know how to mentor other coaches. But, I did know I wanted something for myself. I craved to be part of a community. I missed teaching and helping others. Insert coaching.

Does anyone really know what their doing when they start? Often times we learn the best by teaching others.

I do know, I love this community. I love my team. I enjoy being able to pay for the weekly grocery bill, or the kids' extracurricular activities. The best part, I get to be the healthiest version of myself than I ever have all because I have to show up for myself so that I can encourage others to do the same. If you have a desire to do more, to be a part of something that empowers other to do the same, reach out. Enrollment for my New Coach Mentorship is now open, and I'm ready to guide those who are like me and not quite sure they want to do this coaching thing.😉

How you are raised and the experiences you have will impact the choices you make as an adult.

I can remember in fifth grade having my friend, Jennifer, over on a Friday night. My parents didn’t monitor what I ate or drank, but we also knew the limits. It wasn’t uncommon for us to be aloud of have a soda a couple times a week, especially on a Friday night. No joke, Jen just kept going back to the frig to get more and more Cokes. I swear she had 4 that night. Clearly her parents never let her have pop. 😆

In high school I gave up Coke one year for Lent, if you are Catholic you know what this means. This kicked my habit and it never seemed to be an issue. Then when Andrew and I started dating we both weren’t big pop drinkers, but someone we both started drinking Coke on a regular basis. We stopped buying it and over time would just smuggle them from my parents house here and there. 🤣

Then around the move and holidays my parents were spending a lot of time at our house and would bring a 12 pack over at least once a week. So what do you know, 1:00pm wrolled around and I was cracking one open. It didn’t even taste good, but I was chugging one down everyday. Yes, my parents LOVE their Coke...it’s their ☕️ and 🍺 and I call them enablers. Andrew and I vowed no more Coke last week and here I am 5 days sober from Coke! It’s hasn’t been in the house since Sunday! I don’t feel as bloated and my energy isn’t crashing. Remember for every bad habit it takes time to build a new one...it’s used to be 21 days but I say 30 is more realistic. This bad habit has ZERO nutritional value.

Now, the real question, do you say soda or pop?

This is a family favorite meal. All three kids love it and it’s extremely quick to prepare and even easier to clean up. I love the nutrition that is part of the wellness package because it breaks down everything and makes it super easy to follow.

Ingredients
* 1 cup low-sodium organic chicken broth
* 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
* 2 medium jalapeño peppers, seeded and deveined, chopped (optional)
* 2 Tbsp. chili powder
* 2 Tbsp. ground cumin
* 2 tsp. ground smoked paprika
* ½ tsp. sea salt (or Himalayan salt)
* 2 bay leaves
* 1 lb. raw chicken breast, boneless, skinless
* 8 (6-inch) corn tortillas, warm
* 1 cup pico de gallo (or fresh tomato salsa)
* 1 medium ripe avocado, sliced
* 1 medium lime, cut into 4 wedges
* ¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions
1. Place chicken broth, garlic, jalapeños (if desired), chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, bay leaves, and chicken in a 3-quart slow cooker; mix well and cover. Cook on high for 2½ to 3 hours (or on low for 4 to 5 hours), or until chicken is tender.
2. Transfer chicken to a cutting board and shred with 2 forks.
3. Evenly divide chicken between 8 tortillas. Top evenly with pico de gallo, avocado, lime juice, and cilantro; serve immediately.

Tip Tuesday: I prepared this in 5 minutes because I premix baggies of the seasoning (usually 6 at a time) and just add the chicken broth, garlic, and chicken.
(I skipped the tortillas today because I had my carb allotment for breakfast and lunch. This can be a great low/no carb meal option. I also used Greek yogurt in place of sour cream.)

Who loves Kroger pickup?
It’s my jam...I love meal planning, ordering the exact items I need, sticking to the budget, driving to pick the groceries up, and not having to unload my kids to just reload them in the car 45 minutes later.

Although today I just needed a couple items so the $4.95 wasn’t worth it to me. I stuck to the perimeter of the of the grocery store because that’s where all the can be found. I stuck to my short list. I stuck to the dairy, meat, and produce.

Until I made the “mistake” of walking down the cracker aisle with a 2 and 4 year old. And they got me. Do you know how persuasive a 4 year old boy can be?!? 😆I managed to come home with more than we need, including 2 packs of Oreos and we couldn’t just get the normal ones, we needed the chocolate filled ones too. A box of goldfish landed in the cart too because well, duh . 😉

Here’s what I have to say: find your balance, enjoy eating the foods that make your body feel good and enjoy eating the foods that we all call treats. Enjoy your kids. Make the grocery store a fun trip (although grocery meltdowns can be the worst), teach them their food options and choices. Meal plan and prep to fuel your body with all the goodness whole foods have to offer. Stick to your grocery list to help keep the cost down and overbuying the items you don’t need, that will end up in the 🗑. Eat a 80/20 and if you have big goals adjust that ratio accordingly. 😘

Shameless bathroom selfies...🤣

Almost 2 years apart

One from when I first started my wellness journey. The other from today.

One from when I was 10 months postpartum, still nursing 🤱, and taking care of a 2 and 4 year old.
The other from consistency and dedication while a lack of sleep from a now 2 year old who doesn’t sleep, and caring for a 4 and 6 year old.

From the outside both pictures are perfect. I am the exact same weight. The one I ate a sugar filled diet and the other I have found a balance. The one the doctor told me I needed to increase muscle. The other he said “good job”.
You ready to find your balance and feel confident in your own skin?
My next round is begins on February 3rd.

A little meal prep went down today.
A couple tips:
1) Do it all at once so you have the mess all at once
2) Put a paper towel at the bottom of your spinach container to absorb the moisture. Your lettuce will last longer.
3) If you aren’t going to use it all, freeze it for the following week
4) Only buy and prep what you will really use, you can always get more later in the week

I now have prep for breakfast, salads, superfood shake, and snacks!

Plant a seed and watch it grow. 🌱

This is more than just perfect nutrition or a great workout. It’s about finding a community. It’s about a group of ladies who are there to not only show up for themselves, but for each other. It’s about the people who are there to encourage you and not judge you. It’s about being better together.

Just when you think you CAN’T...you CAN

Get out of your own damn head.

Just when you feel like you are lacking confidence...know you CAN.

It’s time to put yourself in an uncomfortable situation and just walk through that damn door.

There are so many opportunities right in front of you. It’s time to get out of your own damn way.

You CAN 😘

We did something very special today because we are getting out of our own way.

This little elf is busy at work.

Usually I’m not so last minute, but this year, especially these last 6 months that’s how I seemed to operate.

The hubby took the kiddos to the park for a couple hours so I got most of the wrapping finished. ✔️

What will 🎅🏼 be bringing your kiddos?

Change nothing and nothing will change.

I frequently here that you are ready to start, but you just can’t seem to get started.

I’ve been using a blender from the 90s to make my shakes. It was the blender my parents had and when I moved out they passed it on to me.

Each week after my side hustle pay day a percentage goes to Christmas/vacation/house fund and another percentage goes towards something fun or something I’ve been wanting and wouldn’t normally buy myself.

I’m happy to report this gadget made it into our household and I’m pretty dang excited!

Stepping this superfood game up! Always a great way to sneak in those greens and even some fruit!

So today we decided to go exploring through the next phase of the development. The kids had a blast sliding down mud piles, playing in the gravel and walking with 5 pounds of mud on our boots.
Leading up to this moment, Lyla was stuck in the mud and I pulled her out of her boots and fell over. Instead of Andrew helping me up he laughed his a$$ off at me the whole time...oh and recorded it. 😂🤣
True love 💕

One of my favorite things about the community I am part of are the friendships that have developed.

It all starts with meeting girls in your challenge groups completing the same programs as you. Then it evolves into meeting them in real life at social events, coach meetups, planning committees and a huge coach event, Summit.

What started with learning about better nutrition, getting in shape, protecting my health has turned into so much more and makes my ❤️ so happy.

Lean in. Find a group that supports you. Find a group that includes you. Find a group that gets you.

Are you ready?

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, you found me!
I’ve been super busy unburying myself from 📦 after 📦 and trying to put my life back together.
I completely underestimated what it would take to move a family of 🖐🏼 10 minutes down the road.
I’m a type A personality and a bit of a control freak so it almost paralyzed me in a sense that my balance had to completely shift. I spent this last week focusing on my kiddos, unpacking, and organizing a our new 🏡.
Not to worry I’ll be back in full force Monday, but I’ll still be unburying myself from all the boxes. Again, shifting the balance. Always keep your goals in balance and keep reprioritizing...everything will come together. Things are coming together one 📦 at a time. Thanks to family and a few good friends we are getting settled.

I spent the morning with a friend measuring our windows for blinds. We are hoping we don’t need too many blinds with the position of our house and we can enjoy all the natural sunlight. ☀️

Thankful for this breakfast to go in a cup. It saved me from hitting up the McDonald’s I passed on the way to the new house. This delicious cup of chocolate Reece’s (with spinach) hit the spot and was half the price I would have spent on fast food. Did you know you can’t taste spinach in any type of shake or smoothie?

Also thankful for dry shampoo 🧴 and braids because this hair is on day 5. 🤣

Let me tell you about my best friend.
She’s amazing.
She inspires me.
She pushes me to do better.
She makes me want to be a better person.
And I just pray I do all those things for her on a daily basis.
She’s my reason WHY.

For every layer I added, he added more tears. 😭

Getting the three of us dressed felt more of a workout, than my actual workout this morning.

Once the 2 year old was distracted enough he decided it was pretty fun to throw snowballs at mom and eat the ❄️.

My 4 year old loved every second of it.

In 97 days I have completed 💯 workouts.

But I have also for 💯 workouts lived life...

▪️Focused {almost} every morning pouring into ME before my beautiful kiddos woke up for the day.
▪️Successfully trained for my first half marathon on top of these 💯 workouts🏃‍♀️
▪️Ran my first half marathon
▪️Listed our 🏡 on the market
▪️Managed to keep our home clean until we received an offer (and then it went downhill from there 🤣)
▪️Went on a magical vacation to Disney World for a week ✨
▪️Dealt with the stress of building a new home (oh it’s been quite the build 🙄) (I’m sure my Zoom girls can’t wait for it to be over because they have had to hear about it on the daily 🙃)
▪️Began packing up our family home for the big move 📦
▪️Enjoyed many breakfast, lunch and dinner dates with family and friends
▪️Date nights with the hubby...gosh I love 🥩!
▪️Enjoyed waaaayyyy too much Halloween candy 🎃 😏
▪️Gained and deepened so many friendships,
some of who I met on the internet 🤩
▪️Continued to learn the value of focusing on what is important in life and who should be a part of it

And to think, I almost didn’t start this program because some of the moves looked “too hard”. You don’t have to stop what you are already doing to make time for yourself. You just have to reprioritize your day to fit in what you really want and need. Set your goals. Aim for them.

My days looked somewhat like this:
🔹4:45 a.m. Wake up
🔹5:00 a.m. Enjoy my delicious cup of pre⚡️and listen to PD
🔹5:30 a.m. Hop on a Zoom call to chat and then workout with my friends for 20-30 minutes (and sometimes my 2 year old joined in)
🔹6:30 Hustle and 🚿 with a 2 year old attached to my hip
🔹7:30 Kids up, kids fed, lunch packed
🔹8:15 School drop offs
🔹9:00 check in on new house and play, play, play
🔹11:15 Preschool pickup
🔹12:00 Lunch, kitchen cleanup and play, play, play
🔹1:00 Naps 💤 (if you follow my IG you know nap time struggle of a 2 year old...)
🔹3:00 School pickup and shake for mom and fruit smoothies for kiddos
🔹3:45 📝time
🔹4:00 Cook dinner, eat, clean up kitchen
🔹6:00 Family time and play, play, play or sport practices
🔹8:00 🛀 time, 📚, and then 🛌 (and it only took us an hour to get Camden down 🙄 for him to climb into our bed around midnight)
🔹9:00 Clean up and then pack or Netflix and binge eat (it was an issue my second half of this program)
🔹11:00 🛏 ..and then repeat on the daily

My goals for this program were to gain 5 pounds by following well balanced meal plan, increase my strength, change my mindset on different types of exercises (insert 🧘‍♀️), and release some things that have negatively been affecting me. I came close: and gained 4.4 pounds, gained a lot of strength, didn’t skip any of the yoga type exercises, and can say I feel pretty positive about 1 major thing that has been filling me with anxiety. You may not see these gains and that’s ok, but my mental clarity is so much better because of starting my day out with this program. We all have different goals and sights. Make your vision and work for it. Pour into yourself, and then you can pour into everybody and everything else the rest of the day.

I would love to help you start pouring into yourself first so you can be what you want to be to everybody else.

There is a new group starting a program that takes us through the holidays. Drop a 🦃or 🎄 if you want some more deets! You won’t be disappointed!

Little lady is off school today for the election. 🗳

The boys are both napping so I get to enjoy some 1-1 on time with this beauty. We have some serious games of SORRY! going on over here...5-4 she’s winning.

She’s just like her mama and is pretty competitive when it comes to games, but I’m just enjoying the time with her.

Today I had the privilege and opportunity to speak to this community that I have grown to love and has made me a better version of myself. Thank you for allowing me to share my story.

It’s a community that has given me confidence. It’s a community that has given me the ability to help shape and change someone else’s life. It’s a community that has allowed me to reconnect with old friends. It’s a community that has pushed me to do better, to be better. It’s a community that has encouraged me to break away from things that don’t lift me up. It’s a community that has gotten me out of my comfort zone. It’s a community that has encouraged me to rise above.

S I X T Y of us came together to celebrate this journey.

I started with saying, “This isn’t just about me, this isn’t just about you, this is about all of us as a community.”

Surrounding yourself with like minded people brings such a sense of joy, security and confidence.

Take a risk. Put yourself out there. Great things and relationships will form because of it.
